Hi, im an avid anime watch and ive watched a lot of anime so far. Some titles include Bleach, One Piece, Soul Eater, Pokemon, Fullmetal Alchemist, K-on!, Negima?!, Love Hina, Seto no Hanayome and the like.
I was wondering if anyone could suggest any other good animes i could watch. one popular suggestion ive had has been Deathnote.

PS. This is a suggestion of animes i should watch, so please no saying that the ones i have watched, or the ones people has suggested, are awful.

K-on and Negima are school-type/comedy animes, right? If so, you may find Azumanga Daioh, Lucky Star, and Haruhi good to watch.

Death note is a good series, though it's really only at it's best in the first half. Let me get my notebook of animes-I've-watched and I'll help you some more (I was really bored one night...)

For more actiony/fight animes, I'd suggest: 'Blood+' or 'Yu Yu Hakusho'. ('Blood+' is a tad lighter, but there's plenty of blood, while 'Yu Yu Hakusho' is kind of a DBZ type anime, but doesn't take forever and the characters actually think of how to win. Using strategies thought up in their heads!)

'Welcome to the NHK' is a good comedy anime that gets a bit more serious near the end.

'Neon Genesis Evangelion' is my current all-time-favorite (My avatar reflects that.) Terrific Mecha anime that turns more psychological near the end, the only down side is that last 2 episodes are amazingly confusing. If you're going to watch NGE, I suggest watching the Anime first, then watch the movie 'Death and Rebirth', then finally 'End of Evangelion' (In that order.) It may help to make more sense of the series once it's over. Also, you can probably find the first Rebuild now. Rebuild is a 4 part (only 2 parts are out now, the second which hasn't gotten to DVD yet) theatrical remake of the series. The first part is quite similar to the anime with small differences, but they change the storyline a bit more afterwards.

Wolf's Rain (my top favorite!)
Ouran High School Host Club
Death Note
Fruits Basket (very cute but the manga's better)
Inukami
Devil May Cry (yes, there is an anime)
Elfen Lied

That's all I can think of at the moment.

Neon Genesis Evangelion is still the best anime I've watched to this day.

Also, check out the movie 'Jin-Roh'.

Try Sora no Otoshimono its new and its 13 episodes long. It's the best comedy/romance anime I've seen and I've been watching anime for 7 years.

I saw that recently, well at least the last 2 movies. Really like Cannon Fodder.

I am obliged by fanboyism to recommend Nanoha, especially A's. I must also warn you, however, that it starts out pretty dull and cliche (episode 9 of the first season was when I finally went "fuck yeah this kicks ass!"), but by A's it's just awesomeness.

Also, Evangelion (though it's quite possible you won't like it), Haruhi (if you haven't watched it. Also, stay the hell away from season two), and Gurren Lagann are a few. To be honest, I haven't seen quite as much anime as I like to think, so this thread should come in handy for me as well.

Oh, and to anyone about to post "my suggestion: don't watch anime," stop: you're not witty, you're just being an asshole. Not much of a problem I'm expecting, actually, I've just seen one or two people consistently do that.

And watch GTO.
Why do I suspect you're secretly one of my high school friends?

You didn't see the first movie, Magnetic Rose?

You should really try and find that one, because it's easily the best of all three. Seeing that movie will remind you why the late 90's were the golden age of anime. It is absolutely beautiful.

Though, I have to say that Stink Bomb was pretty freaking good to.

For anime movies I suggest Paprika, Tokyo Magnitude 8.0, Grave of the Fireflies, The Cat Returns, or maybe even Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind.
But for just shows there's also Toradora, Welcome to the NHK, Spice and Wolf, and also Rozen Maiden.
