Suggestions for HOME

Playstation HOME has copped a fair amount of abuse from users of the PSN. Complaints like "Theres nothing to do!" and "It's gay" are all too common.

I actually think HOME has a collossal shit-tonne of potential to be the awesome online social network it's supposed to be, it's just not quite there yet. The possibilities really are limitless with what Sony could do with HOME, and its about time they started flexing the imagination muscle.

What would be your suggestions for HOME? How would you make it more fun or interesting or downright awesome?

I'll start us off..........stop charging us money for crappy virtual trinkets, clothing and furniture, its insulting. We should be getting that kind of stuff for earning trophies.

they should shut it down, or, make use of it. free online arcade games, stuff to do, like i dunno, shoot stuff, climb buildings, secrets, etc

Bah, Sony should just do PS2 game emulator on PS3 instead of HOME, the whole idea is stupid (and costy). Would attract more customers for sure, damn, I'd also love to buy (download from PSN) so many PS2 games for my PS3. Maybe they could finally increase their PS3 and PS2 game sales some more. Everyone loves backwards compatible consoles, right?

Also, they could rip us off again, by re-selling us old PS2 games that are still quite popular and nostalgic. It's not like everyone's PS2 or it's games work anymore (mine doesn't, at least well, I can't be bothered into buying a working one from someone/somewhere).

My suggestion for Home is for it to die in a fucking fire.

1. Give a REASON to use it.
2. Fix the load times to make it accessable.
3. Allow instant transport to where you want to be.

I have been on it maybe three times. Every building you want to go into requires a download and install to enter which can take a few minutes at worst. Once you get in those buildings, there is little to do except shop, or possibly stand in line for a game. You know what the best part about getting my first video game console at home was? I didn't have to walk to an arcade, and then stand in line to play a game I wanted to play. I also wasn't being nickle and dimed (well.. quartered actually) out of a weeks allowance.

It is the total reversal of everything good about the home entertainment market.

Well, have some thing happen in it. I mean, it's a little boring, I've tried it ant there's nothing much to do after the first 20 minutes. The character customisation is fucked, I mean no matter which face you pick, your lips are fucked. Every think is expensive, the people on it are all dicks and well, even the house customisation is fucked.

Yeah lets talk about the house customisation. The whole thing feels half assed. Maybe if they let me customize my house sim style I'd be happy but they don't. You can't buy many normal household items, like beds, ovens or fridges (I don't think). Nothing you get has much bearing either, I bought a T.V because I though I could stick it on and maybe watch some thing on it. Like having it play movies on my hard drive or watch BBC iplayer... even just showing random commercials of new games would have done... what happens when you press on it you ask?. I get the choice of moving or removing it... that is all. As said why not sim style customisation?, let me build walls and my house from scratch, even if it cost real money to do so at least there's a point to it. I mean, like for putting walls up having it cost you a few pence a wall, and have stairs cost a couple of pound along with furniture then it would at least add some point to the customisation. Also give me more options then move or remove, this is supposed to be a the best console(hardware wise) out there. I have a Tekken flask, why not give my character the option to pick it up and drink it?. Why can't I turn my T.V on, and why ho why can't I turn the background noise off, I have the penthouse and all I can hear is police cars and ambulances. Not to mention the damn thing barely has a roof, what design is that, if it rains my house floods (in real life it would, this game doesn't really have dynamic weather).

Yeah use it once, never used it again pointless community things, i don't play games for community thats what i have friends for.
