Suggestions?

I recently purchased a certain Chronicles of Riddick for the PS3, and frankly I am not a happy camper. Sadly I don't quite gel with the gameplay and am in need of a new single player game. My first thought was Fallout 3, I've already played a bit of it and quite like the combat system, but I heard the bugs in the PS3 version ruin it and I cant download the patch that fixes(?) it because I don't have Internets for my PS3.
So my next thought was Street Fighter IV, but I don't think it will have enough singleplayer stuff to keep me amused for long enough.

So now i'm open to pretty much any suggestion, in other words give me YOUR favorite PS3 game that you think is worth my not-really-hard-earned moneys

Well I don't know a lot about them PS3's, the only games I could see myself playing would be Resistance, Little Big Planet, Siren Blood Curse (soley for the sight jack) and..... that's it I'm afraid. So otherwise just get the multiplatforms I guess. From what I've heard however stay the hell away from Killzone 2.(what I've heard from people who played it)

Just for the record, by all means you don't need me to tell you what games to play, try out a couple for yourself and just see.

If you haven't played them already try
GTA 4 (lots and lots to do)
Resident Evil 5 (loads to unlock)
Rainbow Six Vegas 1 and 2 (plenty of stuff to do in both)
Ratchet and Clank: Tools of destruction (great fun to play)

Can't think of anything else off hand, hope this helps.

get metal gear solid for the ps3 if you havent got it already, the cut scenes alone will make the game last long

BioShock, The Orange Box, and Valkiria Chronicles are all pretty good.

pre-purchase God of War 3 and then buy Disgaea 3. Disgaea 3 is an awesome turn-based boardgame-like JRPG. it has loads of really cool features.

Alright cheers for the ideas guys, Forgot about Valkyria Chronicles, might give that a shot
But has anyone here played the PS3 Fallout 3? I would really like to know if its even playable

Killzone 2 will hold you over for a while in single player, but it is short.
