Hey, Just hittin y'all up with this amazing looking kickstarter!

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1473965863/sui-generis?ref=recommended

It has 9 days to go, and needs like $150,000 USD ish(Rough conversion from pounds).

I would suggest looking into it, and keeping in mind, these people have done this while working fulltime jobs, and even in a far pre-alpha state looks mindblowingly awesometastic.

Hit this shit people, throw dollars pounds yen whatever you got at it, tell everyone!

Or don't, really up to you, but still, this looks like if it gets off the ground, it'll be freakin fantastic!

Interesting, very interesting.

Seems almost to good to ever come true. I would happily buy a game like this if it ever saw the light of day.

I am iffy about donating using Kickstarter, I think it is a good idea, but I would have to trust the people I am donating too atleast 80% and actually believe the project will come to fruition. I like how physic based the combat is!

Looking too good to be true is likely due to what they're doing with this game being completely different to what the industry is used to doing ad infinitum with their games, also not being one of those limited by being ported from a console things, gives it more shit to play with.

If I had any money right now, I would throw every damn cent at my disposal at it, hell if the kickstarter ended after december 7th I would throw $100 or so at it myself, thing is, it may well fail, one way or the other, but if this sort of thing did succeed,it benefits the entire genre of open world fantasy games immensely by it's conception, and success would guarantee that we may see more awesome things like this come to be.

So spread the word if you get the chance, even if you don't donate, the more people who know about it, the more people get the chance to decide whether they want to support it.

Which is of course why I started this thread! :D

That was pretty cool. I'll do a bit more research before I donate but I'm definitely interested.

I was about to make a thread for this myself, the game looks really amazing and I was in the "Too good to be true" category at first but I've read up on everything that's been posted by the developers and I must say they have me convinced they can do it now, I pledged for the collectors edition as apparently that's the only way you'll get it and if this game turns out to be as awesome as it seems I think I'll have made a sound investment, I actually think it's worth funding purely for the engine, seems like something that could go a long way.

Here's a combat video for anyone interested:

I know the combat looks a bit goofy at the moment but they say they'll be tightening it up a bit to make the combat look more natural and hiring a proper animator.

I'm going to donate next I get a chance, but I'm worried. This is exactly the kind of game I'm looking for and it looks like it won't get funded. That just makes me sad.

That is a really odd mix, combat looks like something out of Dark Souls but it's an "isometric" game... I constantly felt they need to go into direct control for a proper feeling.

But hey we will see what the end product actually does.
