They got Harely Perfect and Jared as the Joker is actually terrifying!

Tis a very good day to be a DC fan it seems!

Still not totally sold on Joker, and Harely was kinda eh. Her voice sounded really plain as opposed to the really thick accent she usually has. It seemed like there was a split second where she sounded like I think Harely would sound like but the audio quality makes it difficult.

Still looking forward to it though, really interested to see more Amanda Waller. Hopefully she has a few cool interactions with Batman.

I wonder how Will Smith's ego will fit inside the squad, when Joker is clearly going to be the more powerful presence.

Trying Too Hard: The Movie!

It just looks like the same gritty crap DC always puts out. Harley's look is bad and Will Smith sounds bored. The Joker looks like every cliche from a serial killer checklist. And not in a good way.

I suppose it could be good but from this trailer and the photos they previously released I'm just not feeling it.

Leaked trailer? I mean, surely, either it's a trailer, or it's leaked. There are things that can be leaked, but advertising not so much.

Quite like the tone of it, but it still has tremendous misfire potential.

Killer Croc and Harley are both characters I'd prefer weren't in it.

So should DC copy Marvel instead of giving their movies their own style and tone?

Nope. Not at all.

At the same time, them trying something different doesn't mean they're above criticism. This also seems to be something many game critics seem to forget. Uniqueness alone isn't worth praise.

It was honestly pretty underwhelming. The music they decided to use seemed totally at odds with the trailer, and felt very off to me.

Leto sounded good for the split second he was on, but man I still really detest the pimp my ride Joker they've gone for in terms of looks.

Also, "We're some kind of Suicide Squad..."

Really? Did the Gotham people do some of the dialogue? That was a bit forced.

Looks like OtT pretentious rubbish, trying to find something deep and meaningful and gritty about a really silly concept, and almost inevitable will totally fail. So, par for the course and probably and instant classic then.

Well for one thing, it isn't as dark and grim compared to the Man of Steel/ Superman V Batman so that is a plus. Other than that, I'm in more in favour of the Deadpool trailer out of the two.

Also was Harley in the nude in the first short of her?

Nope, if they did try to copy Marvel it would be even worse.

I'm just asking for something that isn't a carbon copy or an EDGY and GRITTY version of the, what I personally think are overrated, Nolan movies. This trailer almost looks like a parody of what the DC movies are trying to do for real.

Nobody seems to realize that The Joker can be subtle and that's why he's absolutely terrifying when he ramps the craziness up to ten. Leto's Joker seems to crank the insanity up to eleven and break the fucking knob off. But hey, if you think The Joker with "damaged" tattooed across his forehead is a brilliant understanding of the character then more power to you.

Way to go DC. Glad to see those 14 year old Hot Topic frequenters do you have on your writing staff are working out for you.

The DC cinematic universe has once again failed in getting my interest. Seems like your standard action flick with a few super powers thrown into the mix.

And a guarantee that none of them will get nearly enough development considering there's such a big roster to split the screen-time.

Yeah, you know they're probably gonna kill off at least three of the lesser known members to make way for more Deadshot, Batman and Joker scenes. Well maybe not kill but definitely send them to Arkham Asylum or something. No one gives a shit about Captain Boomerang when you could have Joker mugging for the camera for ten minutes. At least that's how I figure DC's thought process goes.

I couldn't really get a good idea what was going on, and the movie seems to lack an overall style. Even Batman v. Superman has some sort of style.

Maybe I'll get a clearer picture once I see the trailer in a better quality, but first impressions aren't any better than from when I saw in that first group photo. Just a big pile of meh.
