Sultan's Advisors and Time

I was just watching Aladdin (Disney one, don't ask why), when in one part the evil sultan's Advisor, Jafar, used the Sands of Time to find Aladdin. Then I remembered the Sultan's Advisor from Prince of Persia, he was always trying to control the sands.

Can any of you well read / watching people think of any more Sultans that have something to do with the sands of time?

Is Prince of Persia based on Arabian Nights

Jafar wasn't the Sultan. He was the Sultan's Visier (advisor).

He's not the Sultan, he's the Visier. It's ALWAYS the Visier. The Sultan's always either out of town or dead. That said, with the Sultan dead, the Visier can take over and become the new Sultan, so.... *crack*twist*pop*
