Summer drought: PC

I know that every summer there is a drought of games coming out. This year started off strong but has really dropped off since may-june area and it doesnt seem like much is coming out major until fall.

PC seems to be really thin this year, with the most notable PC game being released this summer most likely would have to be Starcraft 2

Question is, are we in a PC summer drought, as well as has this summers drought been worse than previous summers?

Point taken with Starcraft. Only an insane publisher would release a title near Starcraft. Far better choice to have the devs work a little longer on making a game better than have the game square off with the biggest release in 12 years.

Yeah I think its worse... It's like even the devs were waiting just to get their hands on SC2

That is a good point, Red Dead Redemption sucked the air out of the room for all other releases, and SC2 would do the same thing.

Yeah, it's pretty much a desolate wasteland right now. SC2 is well and good (picking up my copy today), but other than that I'm stuck playing League of Legends. I'd kill for a solid RPG right now...
