You're 15 so chances are you won't qualify for this but try and look for internships. They look a shitload better on a resume than any summer job you can get. As for easy jobs to get that'll make you some money for the summer? Listen to Baby Tea (a few posts up), his advice is sound. You can also look into working for camps and childcare services if you like kids enough. If worst comes to worst and you can't find work, volunteer somewhere. Even if you aren't making money you're not sitting at home bored and whoever you're working for will give you a killer recommendation. Volunteer work goes a decent way on a resume for future jobs.
I did none of this as a teenager... I had a bunch of shitty jobs.

wait, you've never had a job befor... what country are you in?
Hey, I didn't get my first until I was almost 17. And even then it was a co-op from my school.

Anyways, get a job as soon as possible, man. It'll help later when trying for better jobs, since you'll have at least some experience to speak of.

If you're from the U.S., at least, there are very few people who would hire a fifteen-year-old.

Especially in this economy, my brother is almost eighteen, and he can't get a job anywhere.
i know a place where my whole family have been employed. i'm working there end of this summer and all of next one.

dude if you can caddy. its great money and if your strong you'll do great. if your not you'll get strong. my cousin is pretty buff because of it. good money and good for your health.

im in Canada, i applied to no frills last summer and they never called back, i guess cause i was only 14, though im not sure if 15 is much better.
Well, as a fellow canadian you should know what the economy is like. where abouts do you live, if your on the east coast, you're pretty well screwed. unless your a fisherman.

but also keep that job for a while. I learned the hard way that even if you have 6 different jobs on your resume, if you went through them all in a year they wont hire you...

I got my first job about a week before I turned 14, it was a summer job doing trail upkeep at various state parks. Nobody I know has ever had that job before. It isn't something I was pursuing either, I just happened to see the posting on a bulletin board. My point is if you want a job, you can find one somewhere.

Start your own business. That's what I did :D.

But in reality, just do a fast-food gig if you can, nothing big.

i work at a nofrills in Canada as well and they will hire at 15 only if you present yourself well. I had to go in 3 times in the course of a month before i got a job with them. Easy work as well and theres small chances to move up and get some extra money and a few things to put on a resume. JUstkeep at them and show them you really want the job and you should be good to go.

I was just coming 15(one week off) when I got my first part time job - I too NEEDed MONEY. At the beginning it was fun and I enjoyed the money. I think it also boosted my social confidence at the time and developed my person alot. It has both many pros and cons but the way I see it is I would rather have had my job than not have it (even though it was a nightmare 2 years later). Jobs are particularily good if you aren't the person who doesnt get money handed to him on a plate along with a shiny car and insurance (which costs alot for starting male teenage drivers here in the UK & Ireland).

PROS:
- Money for going out, especially if you don't get much pocket money from parents.
- Money for things you like, lets you buy shiny new games and new releases.
- Money for saving, probably for your Xth birthday where you will start driving and buying a car.
- Money gives independance no matter what.
- Meet new people

CONS:
- Lose complete freedom (apart from schooling)cases
- Missing events, you will have to work when you dont want to in many jobs.
- Might not like a certain coworker
- Life will never be the same again

I especially hated the better paid older workers who do less work than you and look down on you. And this is where you become introduced to "I hate X worker" "X worker did this the other day" etc.

I literaly just got done writing my CV for a job application. I'm 18 though, so it'll probably be a permanent one, instead of a summer job.
At an Elkjop store by the way. (Similar to Best Buy, only Norwegian.)

Start your own job like lawn mowing, babysitting, etc. At 15 years of age, there's no job for a 15 year old, honestly, that's not already taken by a more experienced person that most likely deserves it more (no offense, the person probably could be supporting a whole family with 2 jobs, barely, or have no job at all but need one because they have a family). I'm 19 and working at a restaurant and you need to be at least 18 (in NY state, I don't know about other states/countries) to use a knife or a slicer, so any job using those are out of the question. At 15 years old, you don't have to have a job, enjoy mooching off your parents a bit longer, but get ready to be independent at 18 or around there before your parents kick you out if they're like that.
