Today I spent around 6 hours at a water park with friends, in 95 degree heat (35 Celsius) and forgot to put any sunscreen on. Naturally, I am burned pretty hardcore right now.

So, I was wondering if you guys had any "special tricks" when it came to soothing sunburns, or if you know of any lotions or creams that could do the trick. Please help, I'm in a lot of pain.

Not going out in the sun is the best course. Beyond that, you're on your own in terms of me helping. Sorry and good luck.

Eh, just let it run it's course. I used to get burned pretty badly, but anymore it develops into a tan after a while.

Aloe lotion if you need it, and I suggest cool or lukewarm showers for bathing.

I feel sorry if you got blisters. Those from sunburn are pretty nasty.

Depending on the type of burn, you will likely start wanting to claw your skin off soon. So to be safe I would go get something to sooth sunburns preferably with lydocain or something like that. Aloe Vera does help, but when I used it last it just made me itch more. :(

Aloe and hiding from that blasted fire sphere as much as possible. If you do need to go outside, wear a boonie hat or other shady hat and clothing that covers much of your body.

Aloe vera! Trust me.

Plus cold showers. Not cool, COLD. Shiver cold.

And put a towel in the freezer for 2+ hours. Take it out and it'll be heaven for a few minutes.

/My 2 cents.

I got the most badass sunburn a couple of weeks ago, in North Wales of all places. I only had suncream on my shoulders and upper back, and when my lower back burned I had the most wierd shaped tan/burn line ever, complete with finger marks. Still have it now, though it's less pronounced.

Just use any aftersun moisturising cream - there's no miracle cure though so take it easy and prepare for some pain.

Solarcaine. The most amazing anti-burn lotion EVER. This is coming from a ginger, so you know it's good info!

Walk outside, look right up at the sun, and then flip it off.
It won't cure your sunburn, but it'll teach that mo' fo' you got balls, *****!
Hey, it's what I always do.

The first rule of Gothclub is: you do not enter the sun.
The second rule of Gothclub is: you do NOT enter the Sun.
The rules three to nine designate that the best course of action after receiving the Daystar's punishment for breaking the first two rules are a salve of sensitive-skin moisturiser or similar for sunburn treatment, loose clothing, ice on affected areas every so often and not breaking rules one and two again.

I remember my mother once used the juices or whatever from a certain cacti plant on my sunburn when I was little. I forget which type it was however, so I can't say I'm of much help here.

I always use a product called soothacaine. It's got Aloe, lidocaine, and menthol, and is really great on sunburn. This coming from someone who gets sunburn just looking at the sun through a window.
