So this Sunday is the most important game of the year, and I have yet to hear the opinions of my fellow Escapists. So.... who are you rooting for? What are your prediction?

Personally, I'm a die hard Steelers fan, so yeah... STEELERS

I'm rooting for the Packers, personally. I just want Aaron Rodgers to get a ring, put it on his middle finger, and shove it in Brett Favre's face.
Nothing against the Steelers of course. They'll probably win, but the Packers have also been underdogs in every game they've played.

I don't really care who wins, but I will be rooting for the Packers because I have next door neighbors who are big packer fans. Also I like Aaron Rodgers better than Ben Rothlisberger.

Being a Bears fan, I'm rooting for the Packers.
I have a roommate who is a Packers fan, so 3 of us who aren't Packers fans decided to get Terrible Towels and flail them around.

Anyone but Rapelisberger.

Although sadly I don't think the Packers stand a chance.

Stanley cup final game, usually when its tied 3-3 and its the seventh game is my most important game of the year, but oka, I'll play along.

Anyway, I'm a pittsburgher, so I'm rooting for the Steelers. However, I could live if Green bay won. Really the only thing that would really excite me with the Steelers winning is seeing all the "experts" stop condemning Ben Roethlisberger and treating him like a Hero since he won 3 Bowls in... what, six years I think? Its between 5-7 I think.

Actually, I bet on The ravens v the Packers for the superbowl so I got money there, butI have money on the Steelers to win, simply cause Ben and the rest have experience. Plus, they got Troy, and he is GOD of the defensive players. Seriously, there is no one as good as Troy, cause he can do anything.

EDIT: Though it should be said that I really like the Packers, especially Rodgers, cause he's a great QB. So if I'd like him to win next year or any year after, because Favre screwed that team over when he left and it would be awesome to see Rodgers already be better then Favre.

Steelers. I hate the packers mainly cause my brother in law is a big cheese head. He seriously has the cheese head hat. I hope Steelers wipe Green bay.

My teams are the Colts and the Jets so I'm not really going to really watch the Super Bowl. I'll still hang out with friends at a Super Bowl party but I'm not going to literally watch it from kick off to the last seconds of the final quarter. I think the Steelers should win it because they beat the Jets who beat both the Colts and Patriots which are some of the best teams in the whole NFL. Plus the AFC have stronger teams than the NFC so I usually think the AFC will always win unless the Patriots go to the Super Bowl, I hate the NE sooo much.

I know it can't happen but I'd really love a two way lose. I can't stand either team but I guess hate Green Bay a little less since Farve bailed.

I've been a Steelers fan since I started watching football over a decade ago, let's get that 7th ring.

If I was going to bet on the game though i'd take the Packers. It pains me to say it, but they match up really well against us. There's no way Aaron Rogers doesn't have a field day against our mediocre CB's, and defensivly they should shred our offensive line with all it's injuries.

Packers. The steelers Secondary has only ONE good player. The packers recieveing core is perfect, and we have like 4 backs who can run. Kuhn, starks, and Jackson.

My whole family adores sports except me. I only know who's in the game because I was talking to a girl early this morning and the Super Bowl came up.

"What are you doing for the Super Bowl?"
(curses lack of interest in a sport where men fight over a ball) "Nothing much, I'm not even sure who's playing"
"Really? ZOMG EVERYONE KNOWS WHO'S IN IT!"

Actually she was a bit more sophisticated than that, but that's about how I felt. That damn feeling.
Hey, there'll be a new Captain America trailer during the game! I know plenty of people who are watching it to see that! I feel like thats something EVERYONE on this site can appreciate.

I don't know much about football but I am pretty sure the Steelers are better. So, I will have to go with the Packers because of my chronic "cheer for the underdog syndrome".

edit: It may also happen to do with my love of the color green and my lack of care for football.

Isn't that a contradiction
Let me rephrase that then. I personally don't care about any of the teams playing since the team I root for was knocked out. However if I had to choose I would choose the Steelers.
There, happy?

You are correct about our secondary, Troy is the most talented player in the NFL, but aside from him everyone else in the secondary needs to be replaced. Though I doubt you'll be able to run the ball for any decent amount of yards, nobody runs well against the Steelers.
