OK, so it is as of right now... almost midnight, i have until 1 O'clock Tuesday to learn D&D 4th Edition. At which point a group of friends will start up their game. I have to learn it from scratch. I know approximately zero, i know there are dice rolls... and a dungeon master.... Basically everything i know about it comes from that one episode of Dexters Lab.

Do you guys think its possible? Do i have a chance?

Basically, tuesday morning at 7 i get on a bus and get driven about 300 miles across the state. I then ring the doorbell of my friends place SURPRISE! OMGWTFBBQSAUCEEXTRAVAGANZA!!!!! I then have to sit down at a table and pick up playing.

Do i stand a chance???

Hahahahahaha, no. Good luck though :D

I tried doing that once with some nerdy family friends in Manitoba. My inner nerd was shamed by how much I sucked.

If I lived near you, we could practice... At 3 in the morning... yeah...

Good luck again my friend.

Most DnD games aren't PVP, so you're not gonna be fighting your friends and I'm sure they'll give you pointers wherever you need them.

I've only played one game of DnD and that was over a skype chat, so I doubt I could give you any real help.

My advice would be to study as much as you can and when you get to your friend's place ask him or her to help you learn the rest of it.

You are awesome.

I've only played once, so I can't really help you. I think that if you get a basic understanding of the rules, you'll do fine.

My advice is to ditch your friends, learn 3rd edition, and find real DnD players.

Not sarcasm. I just love Dexter's Lab. A lot.

Oooooooooooooooooo. Thems are fightin words!

Why so?
Cause 4th edition sucks. 4th edition is like Ultimate Marvel. A crappy reboot intended to lure in new players. Why would you want to play a DnD where you cant be lawful evil!? Thats the best alignment, cause you can be evil AND a snob.
