I was wondering how many of you remember the topic of the 1st thread you ever posted on. I can't remember mine but maybe you guys have a better memory.

That was so long ago, most likely one the the forum games, but I can't be sure.

I still wouldn't consider myself a "super poster" yet, but I can't remember the first thread either way.

'What game should I buy next?' in Off Topic. I suggested either Fallout 3 GoTY edition or Football Manager 2010 for some reason.

I had to go check...here it is, not very interesting. I was browsing for a few weeks not posting, then this one post forced me to respond. I couldn't in good conscience not spread love for Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem!

Something about haircuts and wanting to look like James Bond by waxing it to the side. All I have to say is, what the hell. I'm so much cooler now!

My first post was:
"There was certainly a time in my life where I could be considered a "hardcore" gamer, where gaming consumed much of my free time but time has changed that. Now, my time is split between work and college and my leisure is dedicated more to Fencing than gaming. I view gaming these days in the same way I do movies and books - a means of entertainment or occasionally a catalyst for a social experience. During the most hardcore of my gaming days playing games became almost a defining characteristic. In retrospect, I don't want to be defined by what I do for fun and much of the time there is more fun to be had in more social endeavors anyway.

I would, if pressed probably go with something resembling a leisure gamer, but the label seems a bit generic. I am perhaps gaming savvy but no longer a gaming nerd."
and was made on Jan 7 2009 in a thread that asked if was a hardcore or casual gamer. The only other notable factoid is the discussion stopped after my post.

It was about the meaning of life.

It was a time I'm very ashamed of... why did you remind me!?

I have no idea to be honest...
It was before the site revamp (the one that made it good) that's for sure.

Mine was on "Russia banning Emo subculture" thread. People there did not seem to understand that gamers could be next.

Yeah, I remember mine. Something about Dragonforce and banjos.
I remember that thread, the song was hilarious man.

My first post was a thread I made, if my profile is to believed.

It was about how everyone seemed to be making a MMO at the time, and needed multiple reads to understand (Neonbob can vouch for me that, from where I was originally from, it's understandable that my typing was crap)

Mine was "games that everybody love but you hate", to which I answered "Super Smash Brothers Brawl". I've never really got into fighting games, as the need to memorize a huge amount of attack combos felt counter-productive to enjoying the game for me.

Pretty much all of Act 4 and Act 5 in Metal Gear Solid 4.
That was in a thread called "Moments In Gaming That Made You So 'YES'" on June 19th, 2009 at 9:52pm.

Mine was claiming MK vs. DC would set a new standard for terrible games. Haven't played it myself, so I can't say if I was right or wrong for myself, but since it rarely if ever comes up anymore, I would have to guess it didn't. The thread was called, "I Called It."
