Seriously, look at this! I'm now super hyped for this E3! Alright folks, what's your opinion on this?

Edit: ...I probably should be more detailed, shouldn't I?

Alright, we finally have information on the Super Smash Bros Invitational Tournament scene. All players, announcers, and hosts have been revealed. As someone who is not part of the Smash community, I can't tell if these people are famous or not, though it is cool all the same.

But more importantly, they have made an adapter to the Gamecube controller! That is wonderful news. We can now play Smash with easily the best controller ever made! Alright, I'm too hyped to give this a fair review, but man, am I hyped for E3 now.

Just so you know, there already was an adapter for the GameCube controller made long ago for the Wii U, in fact it's been out a little bit long than the Wii U I believe. It is the Mayflash GameCube Controller Adapter, and it works like a charm. When I got my Wii U, I bought that along with it so that I can use the lovely GameCube controller for other games, and some Wii U games. Only thing about it is that it doesn't work with Wavebirds, or the new white GameStop brand ones (tried it). Other than that it works with first and third party controllers just fine and assigns the buttons perfectly.

As for the Smash Bros, is it only at certain Best Buys, because I doubt they'd have one at the one near me. >.>

Oh, yeah, I knew about that, but the support for Gamecube controllers is big for other reasons. Mainly it's giving me a (probably to be shot down) hype that there will be Gamecube Virtual console games on the Wii U and that more games will support the Gamecube controller, which in my opinion is Nintendo's best controller ever.

That converter lags too much to use it competitively. That was the majority opinion at the last APEX. Nintendo making an official one is a godsend. Especially since it means that light shielding (not pressing all the way down on the trigger) might be a thing again.

I've been playing Brawl on my Wii U with it competitively and I've not gotten any lag at all, so I don't know about that honestly. I've never encountered terrible input lag on it, and at most the last has been a quarter of 1 second at most.

I think GameCube Virtual Console games were a given, but the fact that it's taken so long baffles me beyond all belief. Hell, the Wii U's been getting GBA games instead of GameCube ones. I know many people who would shell out for a Wii U if it had Skies of Arcadia Legends, Luigi's Mansion, Melee, and other games on it. But one thing I've noticed about this is how everyone now wants a Wii U once they announced a GameCube controller for it. Really shows that no one gives two shits about the GamePad at this point, which pretty much is true in my case since none of my Wii U games require me to use the GamePad as an integral part of the game, and I can play it with a regular controller or Pro Controller. Hell SM3DW only has 4 levels that require you to use the GamePad, and if you've been getting all the Green Stars you can actually skip them entirely. :/

Haven't been apart of the Smash Community for awhile, however it is good to see Nintendo attempting to make Smash tournament worthy. In SSB: Melee, the various exploits that Nintendo didn't account for(wave dashing, L- canceling, etc.)made mindgames and gameplay extremely intense. IMO, character balance is also better in melee than it was in Brawl. I'm looking forward to seeing some potential high level gameplay.

Geoff Keighley's hosting? From his many interviews with Reggie and the entirety of VGX I'm a bit worried about how he'll act in a Nintendo-run event for a Nintendo game.
