Super Soldier Retirment

I've played quite a few games were you play as a biologically superior super soldier. And this makes me wonder, what happens to these people when they become too old to fight capably? Do they go to some special retirement home? Sent on a suicide run? Or euthenized?

What really got me thinking about this was the SPARTAN's of the Halo series, what if one had lived and got too old?

If any super soldier was no longer combat effective, they would probably be put in a strategic planning position or some other non-physical profession in the military till death.

In the Halo universe, some Spartans were crippled by the process that tried to make them super-soldiers, so they became military advisors and stuff.

If they're injured or getting old you could strap them on a harness to the back of another super soldier, twice the firepower, twice the awesomeness. Admit it, piggybacking Spartans would be AMAZING to behold. Or they could become Steven Seagal style cooks like in Under Siege.

My guess would be that they are used in a reality show like "Liberty City Survivor" from GTA3... They equip them with grenade launchers and flamethrowers and let them hunt each other down... For our amusement ofc...

Yes, but A.C.R.O.N.Y.M. (The American Coalition Regarding Overhuman Neutralization and Your Mom) has been known to contract any overhumans they deem stable/safe enough for field operations against other overhumans when S.C.R.U.B.s (Stealth Cleanup Recon and Utility Battalion) and P.O.N.G. (Powered Overhuman Neutralization Gear) troops won't cut it.
