Superpowered diseases

I've been thinking diseases/illnesses would be much more cooler if, along with their symptoms, wicked super powers occured.

Like lightening flu, steel-skin malaria, flying cancer and flaming gonorrhea.

What are your ideas?

For more of a Sci-fi route, a disease that manifests itself as a common cold, but after incubating for a few days, the powers kick in. Telepathy, telekinesis, perhaps control over electricity, as well as augmented strength, intelligence, and senses. These side effects continue to grow in power until you achieve immortality via ascension.

Also, Lyacanthropic Lupus.

The Flaming Gonorrhea thing actually had be on the floor...laughing. I think that, given the choice, I would have to choose...Telekinetic Tetanus??
