I'm enjoying an otherwise excellent blackops but there's one thing bothering me and its this. If I equip a supressor to a bolt action sniper its not a one hit kill headshot, I spent 4000 CP and was excited when I equipped my L96A1 with silencer so I went into a game found a nice little bush to go prone in and headshotted some unsuspecting foe but it didn't kill him by the time I've reloaded the guys health has regenerated. I can't believe I wasted 4000 CP on a useless weapon

Well... going prone hiding in a bush is kinda a douchey tactic so I'm glad it makes life difficult for those who want to do it.

actually, that is the CORRECT way to play. tactics and ambushes and such. also, i'm sure you did something wrong because a sniper headshot is ALWAYS an instakill.

How far away from him were you?

If you put a silencer on a sniper, the ranqe is drastically reduced. You can only use it if you are close to your tarqet, which removes all purpose to the sniper rifle.

Also, are you sure it was a headshot? Accidental shoulder-shots are depressinqly common.

if you want stealth use a suppressed submachine qun or assault rifle if you want tactics use a shotqun or sniper rifle and dont ever use liqht machine quns they just suck

its a shame a major drawback is that every shot gives away your presence, just tested on splitscreen at point blank the headshot was NOT a kill

Yeah, the FAL is pretty delicious.

I still miss the Q3 from CoD4 thouqh. Nothinq can take it's place.

A silencer affects a bullets ability to kill people? That's just stupid, a headshot should kill anyone regardless.

To those who think that hiding with a sniper rifle isn't the right way to play: Is this a rule in the handbook that came with the game? No, it's not.

the FAL was a god damn sexual tyranasaur, it was so underused (except for modded controllers)
