Nathan looked at the two officers and severed the Spirit Strings that attached his will to his puppets, causing the officers to slump over. Seeing Kris tense up, Nathan held up his hands as he walked around the car

"Relax, they're only knocked out and have flawless artificial memories about what they were doing in the time in between now and when I...caught them"

He smiled, looking up at the tall building.

"Top of the building, eh?"

Pointing at the top of the theater with his left index finger, a silvery thread shot out, wrapping itself around one of the ledges. Tugging on it to ensure it was secure, he started climbing up the side with surprising speed.

"I'll see you up there!"

Nathan laughed as he climbed

terrible felt a sharp pain in his left shoulder as he hissed through his teeth grabbing his shoulder wondering what the hell just happened.
"so....your like a walking voodoo doll are you?" terrible asked as the pain in his shoulder started to fade away.

"hmmmm I guess attacking you would be a waste of my time then, would`nt it, I`l just bid you ado...after I do this" and with that terrible turned around and fired a bolt of lightning into the street ,obviously attracting the attention of some people and the local authorities as the started to crowd around the alleyway's entrance, terrible then turned and started stumbling out of the alleyway obviously faking an injury of some kind ah bumped into a nearby police officer.

"he`s a super, he tried to kill me with that lightning bolt" terrible said in a shallow tone as he slowly started shuffling away escaping through the crowd of onlookers as the local authorities readied their weapons against this supposedly dangerous super.

Mike smiled he was going to have lots of fun.

"Stop right there, you're under arrest make any sudden moves and we open fire." An officer shouted at him, more cars arrived and even a few swat vans. Mike let out a sadistic laugh and raised up his hand. "Fire at will!" Came the shout, less then a minute later everyone in the general vicinity was on the ground, Mike had been shot 23 times, all straight through. He couldn't tell but the amount of pain had caused 10 officers brain's to shut their bodies down, they'd be dead in about two minutes. Mike walked off to look for his new friend there was still more fun to have.

terrible jumped up onto a nearby roof from an alleyway leaning against an A.C unit as he tried to collect his thoughts and resume his search.
"man that ************ was weird, I`l keep my eyes open for him" terrible sighed looking out deeper into the city as started leaping from rooftop to rooftop for any sign of a radioactive material.

terrible discretely landed in an alleyway and exited to a busy street he passed by a electronics store and saw several T.Vs all of them blaring the same message of the city's crusade on supers.
"pathetic, if any of the supers in this city learned to control their powers they would`nt have a chance" terrible muttered walking down the street staring down anyone stupid enough to make eye contact with him.

"these guys are so lucky I don`t have my full powers or else they`d all be dead before they could turn to run" terrible snarled as he walked into yet another alleyway searching on the street proving fruitless to him and resuming his rooftop search.

Pain grinned at the small man's threat, then grinned even wider at his comment about the car. Instead of simply taking his foot off the roof of the expensive cadillac, the monster stepped over the vehicle, the shifting of his massive weight causing it to creak and groan. He planted himself in the space between Reggie and the car, forcing his newfound acquaintance to back up until his legs were pressing against the guard rail.

"I like you." Pain said, his huge head hanging low in front of Reggie's. Hot, moist breath wafter into the man's face, the creature's long tongue drew invisible circle's in the air around the man's vision. Ripple's of vein-like bumps spread outward from the front of Pain's head, dancing across the surface of his muscles in grotesque imagery.

"You're overly confident, you view yourself as the best at what you do. You believe you can perform any action or challenge put before you without fail, impressing those around you with the quickness and ease of your excecution. You never once doubt your own abilities to perservere and succeed, even if the odds are stacked against you and there seems to be no chance. It'll all work out alright, because you're you. You grew up rough, and you believe that you can use that as a wild card that you can play any time you want. You know that you're sketchy around the edges, but deep down you think you're a good guy. Typical anti-hero. Perfect." Pain leaned in closer, his form seeming to grow. The buildings around them leaned even farther in, closing them off from the rest of the world, enveloped in darkness.

"I'm going to tell you a couple of secrets, since I like you so much. First one! Have you ever heard of The Company? No? Well, they're not nice to special people." His 'face' contorted into an even more evil grin. "They can't ignore something like this. They'll be here soon. They may be here now..." Two arms sprouted from his back and waved about, gesturing to the city.

"They could be anyone. They could be you, they could be me. So don't trust anybody. I know that I can trust you to trust me on that, because you already don't." He cocked his head to the side like a bird, eyeing Reggie oddly, then continued.

"So running won't do you much good. You'll never make it out of the city with them on their way. Anyway, time for the second secret. This city is lined with bombs. Big bombs, little bombs, green bombs and blue bombs. Bombs of all shapes and sizes. They're everywhere. Inside the sidewalks, inside support beams, inside people's tires. I'm sure you've found a few of them, what with your... interesting talents."

Pain leaned back slightly, the goo behind him morphing around his form like a throne. The Cadillac groaned in protest once again as he sat on top of it, one elbow resting on his knee. He stared at Reggie for a few more seconds, then spoke again, this time in a slightly lighter voice, if that was possible.

"I'm not sure why I've told you all this, besides the fact that I think you're great. I guess it might be entertaining to watch you running around the city frantically trying to disarm bombs before the entire place decends to an even deeper layer of hell. If you're so inclined, of course."

And with that, he abruptly began to fade away into the blackness. The bridge began to lower, the buildings began to part, and the goo began to recede, as Pain himself slowly morphed through the car, away from Reggie and into the shadows.

"Goodbye Reggie, until you find me again."

Sorry I didn't post last night. I was at a friend's house, and their internet has a vendetta against me.

"Yeah, until then" said Reggie coldly.
Well he's figured me out huh? Oh well, the company? Sounds like fun. As for running, this is my city.
Reggie raised his hand and the car lifted off the ground and landing itself onto the undisturbed road next to the bridge. He ran his hand through his hair.
More bombs? Awesome, my district is clear. It's the rich that'll suffer. The gang will live. The city will bow to us indefinately if they are detonated. But the people? Someone has to warn them. Maybe it's time to be that anti-hero.
Reggie stepped into his car, looked at his view in the mirror. Shaken a bit maybe, but he'll be fine.
Let's do this

3 Hours Later...

" Breaking news, An explosion has gone off on 25th street outside the mayor's office..."
The channel flicked over on the small TV in the dark appartment.
" Early reports state that there has been a minimum of thirty casualties with many more injured..."
The channel changed again.
"...underground bomb..."
It switched off this time. Reggie sat up from the sofa. He put on a gas mask and a hood over his head. He sat down on a small wooden chair infront of a blank wall on the far end of his appartment. He had cleared that side of the room earlier when he planned this. A small video camera pointed at him. Suddenly the [rec] button pushed in. Reggie warped his vocal cords in a sick, blood-turning snarl.
"Too long you have sat safe and well. Hell is at the gates. Death will be your reward. Cold it will all soon be. The bomb to day was mine. Many more around the city there is....."
Reggie trailed off into details mixed with threats. A made up terrorist name thrown in. "The Golden Dawn". Sounded almost real. The [rec] button shot back out. The disc containing his message ejected it's self. A marker pen flew into the air and scribbled on a disc "All is yours" as the disc dropped into a padded evelope. The pen then scribbled on the package "Love from the bomber".
He took off his mask, it disintegrated as to fell from is face. The hooded top also disintegrate. He window nearby opened as the room reset itself and the camera disappeared. A brick flew out the window followed by the package.
"Good luck..."

2 minutes...
Smash
The brick smashed the window of the Editor-in-Chief of Urbis Now. The brick landed on the floor. The packaged landed in the "In" tray on the desk. Rick Pitts sat behind his desk petrified.
"Wh-wh-what?" Came his voice. He reached out with a shakey hand to the package. He read the outside of it and shuddered. He teared it open and dropped the disc into his dvd player.
His eyes grew wide as the killer's message spilled out before him. He picked up the phone at the desk.
"Stop the press. I have a new headline"

Meanwhile back in appartment, Reggie sulked deep in his sofa, dark in the shadows.

I hope this works.

In case anyone was wondering where I've gone off to; I was discussing re-rolling my character with the all powerful 3W. Anyway, I'll have my intro up either tomorrow or the following day, I'm just dropping by to post the sheet.

Name: Cecia Marner(A.K.A: Subject number 213)

Age: 20

Gender: Female

Appearance: Cecia stands at 5'4 and weighs just above 100 pounds, she is rather nonthreatening for the most part. Her skin is rather pale, most likely due to the freezing process. Her hair is long, jet black, and neatly combed. She has light blue eyes and pigmentation in the irises has faded to the extensive time in cryo. She isn't exactly pretty, but at the same time she isn't ugly, falling somewhere in the middle. She was changed into a black jumpsuit before she was put into containment.

Powers: DNA scanning shows various body-mass altering cells residing in her blood, along with a higher amounts of white blood cells, a boosted immune system, and a starfish like system of tissue regeneration. To put it simply, she is unable to die (excluding certain unlikely circumstances such as being thrown into a volcano), but is still able to feel pain. She could have her head blown open by a shotgun shell and have it repair, though she would be in the worst pain of her life and would be entirely awake as the bones snap back together.

Along with that she is able reform parts of her body mass to her will, allowing her to morph her blood, tissue, and bones, into blades and other objects, but this also might prove to be painful for her.

Bio:
Code:
---Open Log---
According to our records, Cecia was born into a lower class family residing in the slums of New Mexico. She was the youngest of ten children, often thought to be the black sheep of the family, and was diagnosed with a multiple personality disorder, life for her was a living hell. Her father was a raging alcoholic, often he would beat the poor girl, in one incident she was in a comma for three weeks. Her mom wasn't anything like the father, but she never interfered when the abuse was taking place.

Life outside of her family wasn't any easier, by age twelve she was expelled from school after stabbing an older boy in the stomach with a pencil; reasoning unknown, believed to be due to the multiple personality disorder. She was sent to a correctional facility by court order, released one week later because her parents were unable to afford to keep her in custody. To keep her contained, her father turned her room into a cell, and never let the girl out regardless of the situation, ultimately resulting in her missing her mothers funeral. She was kept in this state of home imprisonment for five months, only escaping once she manged to pick the lock to the door and sneak out of the house. On the way out she slipped a home made poison into her dad's drink, he was found dead two days later.

From that point onward she spent the majority of her days rolling with various gangs, if only to provide herself with some form of income. She cared little for the other members of "Legion", with the expectation of one boy who managed to stick out amongst the crowd, an older gang child going by the name of Ray. The two were inseparable to say the least. They went out together, they had similar pasts, and they were both madly in love with each other. She was happy for the first time in her life.

But tragically, within a few short years he went rogue and vanished amongst the chaos of the 'Surge' event, most likely killed seeing as no records of him exist in the Company's database. At the same time Cecia developed her powers, though she was too busy trying to flee the city to try them out. When escaping she was captured by our forces, tranquilized, and taken to our research facility in Ubris and put into cryostasis.

The majority of the Company sees no potential in her, though a small group of our scientists have decided to unfreeze her and run experiments...

It was a bit rushed, but mister Words approves.

EDIT: Hey, first post of page seven. This is pretty convenient for reference.

Kris grinned as he watched the man climb the building at a faster than usual pace. It looked like he could do other things than just control people. Kris would have to keep an eye on him, he didn't really trust the man yet.

With a single power aided leap, Kris launched himself to the top of the old theatre. The roof was nothing special, curved air conditioning ducts sprouted from the dark gravel like material on the roof. All were quiet, turned off when the building was abandoned. The only other structure on the roof was a small shed made of solid concrete. Kris started to walk towards it."We'll have to make our way to the basement of the building and then traverse a system of tunnels that runs parallel to the sewer system." He looked back at the man."I hope you don't mind getting a bit dirty. Those tunnels haven't been used in a while." At the door, Kris contorted the air so that it moved the simple locking mechanism, unlocking the door and opening it."Doors, open. Lets not waste time."He stepped down into the darker depths of the abandoned theatre.

Untangling his Steel String, Nathan had it retract back into his finger

"No problem, I'm sure a bit of dirt and grime will be the least of our problems"

He chuckled, following Kris into the theater.

It was dark, and dusty, the floorboards creaking with every step they took.

"Wow this place is old..."

Nathan whispered, looking around in awe as they made there way down the old wooden stairway.

"What made you and your friend find this place?"

He asked curiously

Damien was leaning on the wall, when he heard Nathan. "What made you and your friend find this place?" Nathan said. Damien pushed off the wall and stood there in front of them. "Who says we found it? What makes you think I didn't create it?" He turned to face Kris. "Long time no see Kris. how have you been?" He took a good look at Nathan. "How well do you trust this guy?" He asked Kris.

Kris smiled and went to shake Damien's hand."I've been better... city's in an uproar about Supers. Nothing like what happened last time." He stood beside Damien and watched the other man."Well, hard to say. I found him causing some shit in my playground, so I decided to follow him. then we had a talk.He seems trustworthy, but then again when we banded together all those months ago, we didn't have time to worry about these trust issues." Kris looked Nathan over again. The man looked just like any regular person, but he was able to do something incredible."He can manipulate people, kind of like mind control." After stating that, a question crept its way into Kris' mind."Hey Nathan, if you can control people's minds... why haven't you tried using that mind trick against me? and how exactly did you make that string to get up to the roof?"

Nathan looked slowly from the man who walked from the shadows to Kris, his face remaining in a neutral stoic expression

"My mind control does not work on Supers due to the complexity of our genetic material. Or at least, thats my theory on it"

He responded bluntly, ignoring Kris's question about his Steel Strings

"As for the trust matter, I am a Super just like you"

He said, directly at Kris's friend

"I am mearly tagging along because I feel there is strength in numbers and because Kris here appears to be a very reasonable man"

Damien sighed. "Alright then. Anyways, the reason I called you here is also the reason why I can't take you to the coliseum. We're just gonna have to make due with a small computer room." He split the floor beneath them, causing all three to fall. He shifted their course every now and then to reach their destination. When they finally reached ground, Damien let them down gently. All around were computers. One was even a Cray supercomputer. "This is one of many intelligence depots I have around the city. Anyway, there are two things I have to warn you about. One concerns the Company, and the other concerns our mutual friend, Kris. I think you know who I'm talking about."

Now this was interesting. Damien, for some reason or another, was now completely at a halt. His retreat across the city had stopped at one specific building. An old and disused theatre. Unassuming, quiet, the perfect place to hide...

Pity that he was so sloppy in his escape.

Outcry hovered silently a few meters above a rooftop nearby. She could see the building, and she was absolutely sure that he was inside. And whatever he was doing in there was taking his time and his attention.

The chance that civilians were in there? Literally 0%. Anyone in there would be hiding from a mob. And they would all be supers.

With this in mind she summoned a large automated turret or five, each one floating in an orbit about the theatre. They would be her precaution against retaliation. Any super that any of them saw would be reported instantly to 4W before the turret in question would deliver roughly 950 rounds into the super's body every minute. She didn't doubt that this would be enough to kill Damien, even with his gravikinesis.

Satisfied that she had covered that eventuality from biting her back, she balled up both hands into fists and started to concentrate. Her efforts were not unrewarded, and she smiled as a snapping of floorboards, shattering of glass and creaking of metal supports could be heard.

She began to tear the theatre's structure apart, a gravitational singularity in the building's centre. Humans had to be spared, but buildings were fair game for any destructive purposes she pleased. Damien, the unlucky sod that he was, was about to be pulled into a singularity and crushed by his own mass before the building he was in crushed into it's own as well.

Have fun guys. 4W just started to crush the building you are in. Get running for your lives if you wish to live.

PS. If you want to end that conversation, I'll let you do that first if you really want to. But it's probably better to just tear this down right now and get some crazy fight going.

Damien looked at his screens. "Shit! She found us!" He saw her ripping open the floorboards. He also saw five high powered automated turrets. "Dammit, the one time I need a techopath!" He sighed and rolled his neck. "Oh no. Oh no oh no oh no." He placed his hand against the wall. "You have got to be kidding me! Does she even know what a singularity can do?! Shit! it's a curvature, too!" He turned to the other two. "Look, I don't have much time. Cathy, aka Supergirl, has been taken captive by the Company. She has been turned into the monster now attacking us,She is able to copy your powers. The only difference is that she is not as strong as the original. two: She is wearing freakishly strong armor which even I have a hard time penetrating. It just grows back, but if you can destroy it all instantly, or destroy it enough times, it might just die. Computer! Self Destruct Sequence 54!" He pushed them all out into an adjacent hallway, lifted them off the ground, and flew them forward as fast as he could, the earth splitting just in front of them and sealing just behind them.

Uh.. you are gonna get rid of the singularity, right? Otherwise it's just going to keep on eating until there is no matter left on earth.

...How the hell? It took Catherine (with a capital C!) 2 years of thought and research to figure out what the Company was, and what she knew was vague at best. I highly doubt that Damien learned all of this in the last 6 in-game minutes in which all he seemed to do was run or float. Can we try to keep Damien saying things that he's actually meant to know...? Maybe keep him a bit less in-the-know about Company projects and secrets that only Carter and 1W would know about? And by 'a bit less', I mean that he shouldn't know entire sections of this stuff. And he should be able to spell her name right.

The strong armour, that's fine. The stuff about Supergirl, all fine too. The power copying, maybe. He probably figured that out the moment she started to gravitate the entire building down. But the Laws, gone. And the stuff about the project needs deleting as well. And that "I just happened to find a card to let me know these things" excuse is going to be removed because I'm fairly certain that ThreeWords didn't make this Company under the pretenses that it was to give cards out that could access Company secrets from anywhere in the world. Because if it did then it wouldn't be a threat now, would it?

And I was looking to make these turrets more than three lines of "All five turrets were destroyed and Damien didn't get hurt by them at all and Kris and Nathan (which is for some reason the name of Quad's character in every RP) didn't do anything at all." Apologies in advance, but I really don't like it when enemies that could give most NPCs a run for their money are defeated so easily by a PC.[/rant]

Sorry. Just a mini rant about the wall o' text up there... I'll put actual retaliation from Outcry here when Xero's post is of an acceptable standard.

And yes, the singularity will be dispersed once it no longer proves useful. The First Law states that it must be.

......My shouting made everyone less likely to post, didn't it?

Probably. Though in truth it was my fault. I just got out of surgery, and I'm not really in my right mind what with the painkillers that don't do anything other than make me feel like i just sniffed a bucket of glue, and the actual pain which WON'T FREAKIN' GO AWAY!

Not yelling at you, just at myself.I fixed it. Anyway, I'm gonna have to turn in for a moment. I'll post again when I can form a sentence that makes sense. Sorry about that RevolverWolf.

Even in the midst of anarchy, war, relentless death and impending doom, these people still had no clue how much horror the darkness truly held. How much suffering the sidewalks barely kept contained, how much malice and dread lurked within the very walls of their children's bedrooms. This city had no idea, not even a vague comprehension or passing extension of imaginative thought, that even came close to the danger it was in. Last time was random, chaos, destruction run rampant. Brought on by forces unknown and beyond the scope of worldly contemplation.

Now it would happen again. He could feel it. The shivers of anticipation wouldn't go away, covering his skin as he raced along through the concrete and metal, brick and stone, dirt and gravel and mulch, passing through the very bowels of what held this entire place together. With a simple thought, he could leave a gaping hole in his trail, wrecking everything he left behind. The entire system was at his mercy, and he knew it inside and out. Every nook, every alley, every support beam of every skyscraper, every apartment and every meeting place. He was their king, and they would never know it.

Deep under the city, miles down into the rock and earth, Temica Gray lay naked in the dark, surrounded by damp stone and wet, dripping dirt. She winced in the blackness as the world around her moved slightly, and curled into a ball, covering her head with her arms, as the entire space shifted and widened, opening up with a sickening squelching sound that announced Pain's arrival.

"Hello, love." The monster moved passed her, a single tendril tracing the edges of her shoulders. She shivered, shying away from the touch and turning in the other direction. Panic and fear had given way to depression and utter hopelessness, nothing but darkness and pain.

"We're going to have some fun, you and me." he growled, as a cushion of blackness rose up beneath her and wrapped around her extremities, pulling her up towards him. "Not that kind, although I know you've been dying for it." He grinned as a screen appeared before them, it's bluish light illuminating the gloomy, undulating space they inhabited. Beneath the screen was a panel full of labeled buttons.

"You see, Temmy, I'm very good at choosing friends." He drew her closer, like a child who's parent wanted to show them something. The goo wrapped and curled, gently massaging her head and neck into the right position, so that she could gaze at the screen with him. She shivered uncontrollably, trying without success to wrap her restrained arms and legs around her body.

"He's a smart man." Pain said quietly, almost to himself. "Very clever. I like him." He reached a long, gruesome finger towards the panel, waved it around for a few seconds indecisively, and then pressed one of the buttons.

A throng of young party-goers at one of the local night clubs was suddenly reduced to ash and burnt flesh.

"He almost forced my hand. Bomb squads are scurrying all over the city, like little kids on christmas morning. Heh." Another button was pressed, and the South Street Homeless Shelter went up in flames.

"We're good at playing along though, aren't we love?" He pressed a third button, and the newly purchased home of the Belmont family, George, Sarah, and their infant daughter Cloe, was reduced to rubble as they slept.

"Reggie could use some food for thought." the beast said, chuckling as red dots lit up the screen, signalling the places he had just destroyed with a touch of a button. Temica remained silent, hanging semi-limp in the air where he held her, shivering now and then in the damp air, even though it wasn't cold. Pain turned his long head towards her, flicking his ugly tongue out and tasting the sweat that dripped off of her. She stiffened, clenching her eyes shut at the touch, letting out a small groan of distress.

"Heh. You want it bad, love." Pain said with venom in his voice, turning back to the screen. The red dots slowly faded, and he knew that on the surface, more chaos had just ensued in the wake of "The Bomber's" most recent attacks. What a crafty, ingenious criminal that man must be.

Leaning back slightly, Pain pressed three more buttons at random, then turned away as the screen lit up once again. His massive form slowly drifted into the blackness, taking Temica with it. As the screen and panel morphed away and the utter pitch dark returned, there was a deep, gurgling growl, almost like a purr, and then a muffled, tearful moan.

*subtle hint* Those last three bombs were pressed at random, so they could have gone off anywhere. You decide...*subtle hint*

Nathan cursed loudly as the Damien moved himself and Kris into the adjacent hallway, three Steel Strings sprouting from his fingers on his left hand, swirling around him like thin silvery snakes

"Which way to the sewers?"

He demanded angrily, for he knew why the crazy women was here.

She was here for Damien, especially by the way he talked about her, and he wasn't about to stick around with them if more crazies showed up

The explosion tore through Tony's Diner, Mike didn't even get a chance to start eating yet. The waitress saved him from having to pull a piece of re-bar out of his chest, even if she did it unintentionally. Prior to the bombing Mike had spent a good deal of time trying to track down Terrible to no avail, and settled with giving up and going to get some food.

Mike pushed and clawed his way through the rubble and by the time he managed to get through an opening emergency rescue teams had already arrived. "Hey someone is coming out."
"What? That's impossible no one could have survived an explosion that did this much damage."
"Look there see."
"Well I'll be damned, sir come over here so we ca- ARGHH my leg why the hell does it feel like it's broken."
"Mine too that guy must be a super call it in."

Mike had already run off, he didn't have time to waste with them. Something big was happening in the city and he wasn't about to stand by watching it happen, it wouldn't be much fun if he did. He had to find who ever set up that bomb, the masked guy on the news would be a good person to look for but Mike had no idea where to even start.
