Move Further north. I'm already in Canada, so Winter is safe. Hopefully that'll buy us enough time to get the hell up to the Yukon or something before spring and we all get eaten alive.

Moving up north before the panic strikes has ALWAYS been my zombie plan.

if they're slow zombies, not the really bad ones, then i look for a weapon and dig in for the fight.

I'm gonna assume for the purposes of this discussion that the zombies are the result of a biological attack/new virus which renders large swathes of the population zombies, with the bite delivering new strains.

First move would be to get to the large hardware store the next town over from me. It has only 2 exits, and one can be sealed by a heavy metal grate, so it's easy to barricade, water butts out the back for drinking water, solar panels on the roof for power, and with large numbers of spades, hammers and garden forks it's the quickest way to arm ourselves.

From there, send out a party to steal a bus from the depot a few streets over, get it back to the store, then set about stripping any metal we can find (from cars, non-essential shutters, rails, etc) and fixing it on to make it zombie proof, with a large metal skirt to prevent zombies tipping it on it's side.

Organise the bus party to steal fridges and freezers from nearby houses, then while home camp wires them up sent them back out to pack as much food into the bus as can be scavenged from nearby corner shops (large supermarkets make it too easy for a small group to be surrounded and overwhelmed). Final move, raid the shotgun makers off the town square, for some ranged firepower. stick it out for a month, if no response from outside world, then start moving in house to house action to clear out and seal off streets.
