Tokyo Jungle and Journey are 2 games I hate to think about
Because those are PS3 exclusives
I really want to play these games, but
1)I don't have PS3 and buying that for only few games seems inadequate
2)Even if I've bought PS3, controller just don't fit in my hands, not because of the size (although my hands are pretty big), but because it just feels wrong to game without precision of the mouse. I'm a PC gamer and most probably never will convert to consoles. At my previous work I spent up to 12h per workday in front of PC, and even after double shifts I went home and still enjoyed sitting in front of my laptop and gaming for few hours. And if that (as far as I know most common reason for PC>>>consoles converting) didn't forced me into console gaming nothing ever will. Hell even when I understood that game would be much better and somewhat easier with controller (Psychonauts and Bastion, for example) and I had access to controllers, I still played with mouse and keyboard, because it felt right.
I wish these games would have a PC ports (and not 3 years later, as some PC ports are released)
And since this wish most probably won't be fulfilled, I'm a bit sad

Susan's top five games from 2012.
Pretty good list. Dishonored being in there was a plus, but Walking Dead and Journey taking the top spots made me smile. There is one thing that somewhat confused me though: At one point you mentioned that you have one game in your top 5 (or 6) list every year where no one understands why it's there and no one knows what it is. You then mention that last year's game was Bastion. The weird thing about that is that Bastion was an incredibly popular and critically acclaimed game the week it was released and it is still widely praised today.
.
True, but I know
droves of people who just never bothered to give it a shot because they took a look at it and just plain didn't believe it could be as good as people said. Sure, it's quite obviously pretty, and it looks fun enough from trailers, but you don't really get what makes it so special until you play it, and a whole lot of folks didn't do that for a long time. I still know plenty of people who haven't played it because they think it's just a little throwaway game.
Thank you, Susan
Yep, I'm one of those people who tried Bastion only because of the podcat and your review
Before that I've seen it on Steam, but neglected it, and only after your praises I gave it a try.
And I can say with certain degree that I will never forget the episode with Zulf (yes, THAT one, closer to the end), because it was one of those transcending moment when world around you and machine in front of you disappears, and it is only you and the deeply emotional story.
Although it is questionable achievement, but you indirectly made my life a bit richer.
So once again thank you for that.
