Suvivor or Infected?

Bought Left 4 Dead about a week ago and have been playing the VS mode quite a bit.

The question is which of the two sides that you play do you consider requires more tactical thought when it comes to winning.

I am gonna have to go for the infected.

Yeah you can try tactics as the survivors but they generally don;t work and of the teams that I've played in the ones that seem to do the best generally come down to running and gunning the level stopping occasionally to clear certain obstacles. Winning generally doesn't come down to tactics but rather having folk on your team that are good at spotting danger and have a decent aim.

The infected though seems to be all about tactics. When I first started I used to find a quick spawn then go just go at the enemy and try and do as much damage as I could but as I;ve played it has become obvious that timing your attacks with other team members and waiting until certain points gives far greater results.

So what's your opinion?

The survivors have guns. All they have to do is shoot at everything that looks like a zombie. The Infected, on the other hand, have to figure out ways to get up close and personal and deal out damage. My choice, the infected.

I personally enjoy the survivors. They are underplayed, and I find it enjoyable having special infected to fight against who use tactics and are smart.

I like playing the Survivors more than I do infected. I feel more attached to them than I do the Infected. It's easier to work with a terrible Survivor team than it is working with a terrible Infected team.

Though it's amazingly satisfying when you stop the Survivors dead in their tracks as a team.

Survivors are fun if I'm playing with friends.

Infected, as long as people know what they're doing. Idiotic Infected are so much worse than idiotic Survivors.

I like playing the infected. there are plenty of games where you kill zombies. I like the idea of finally being one.

Infected, hands down. I love landing a successful pounce, and then when another survivor rushes to save my victim, one of my team mates pounces on him!

Aside from crushing the hopes and dream of the other team, it's extremely satisfying to just stop them in their tracks and tear them apart and there's nary a thing they can do about it.

Aside from that, I got turned off from playing survivor on versus when one of my friends on the opposing team got the tank spawn EVERY TIME and then just totally annihilated us. He was without a doubt the best tank I've seen, or just incredibly lucky.

The Infected. Being a zombie is endless fun.

It used to actually be survivor a while back, then things like corner camping made the survivors cheapos. This puts me more towards the Infected being more challenging.

If you do have some good friends on with you who you can chat with the game becomes really great. Me and some friends got together and filled a match up for both sides. It was awesome. By the end we had killed them on the last bit of mercy hospital and it was our turn and we all commited suicide at the get go and still one. The fact that they couldn't get back at us for owning them was hilarious.

I'm a fan of the infected they require much more tactics especially when ur against a group of survivors that know what their doing. And if you have only one survivor that sucks of suicides ur screwed

Infected, mainly just because I enjoy the variety of weapons, although the guns are pretty cool.

Infected, I love playing as them. Even the boomer requires a fari bit of thought if you want to deal as much damage as possible.

Depends on whos on my team I suppose. Assuming I have a good team either way, I don't really like either one more, but infected is deffinitly more rewarding to be talented with.
