I've recently discovered that my laptop is scrap, and I'm planning to switch it for a REAL computer, because I never need my laptop anyway. The problem, before I discovered that my laptop is bad, I bought the orange box on steam. So I was wondering, is there a way to carry over my game to my other computer, or do I have to bother and find a whole new copy of the thing?

If you bought it on Steam, you can download it onto any computer with Steam installed.

It's fucking steam. What do you think?

Just install steam on a new computer log in and bam all your games will be in your library. Only uninstalled. As you haven't installed them yet on the new computer.

It's account based, man. So you can download it as many times as you want. If you're talking about the actual files however, you'll need to run the steam backup. Just right click on the game in steam and say backup.

If your old computer's hard drive is dead, you're going to lose all your saves.
(except steam cloud games? Not sure if orange box has steam cloud)

Steam games you can download & reinstall on a new computer. No problems there.
