swapping money for a computer (in australia)

so say i have some money and i want a computer but can't be bother with all the usual computer buying (and building) crap could anyone suggest a good place to throw money at that would give me a decent computer for my spare cash.

looking to spend about 1-1.5ish.
maybe try and convince me to build one if you have a compelling argument.

If you don't want to do any building, the way I'd recommend would be to find a guide and/or ask for suggestions online choosing parts for your needs then finding a store that will assemble all the parts you buy from them (so you'd pay the cost for the parts plus an assembly fee). There's loads of online stores that offer this service and your local computer store(s) probably will too.

You can use http://au.pcpartpicker.com/ to see the prices and availabilities of pc components from online stores which you can use to help figure out your best options. If there's a store in your area happy to put together a bunch of parts you bring in, it also gives you a ton more flexibility in terms of where to buy.
