Alright I got the idea for this question from Bytejacker which is a very good weekly indie games reviewing series on Youtube that also asks various video game related questions to its viewers. One of the questions they asked was similar to this one so that's where I got the idea.

Anyway the question is, if you could own any fictional character's vehicle in real life what would it be and why. You can choose any type of vehicle whether it be a car, a ship, a spaceship, an airplane, a motorcycle or even a magical flying broom for all I care. The vehicle can also be from any type of media so any ride from a book, a movie, a tv show or an anime counts as well as videogames. The only two rules are that you can't choose a ridable animal, and the vehicle has to actually be rideable, so things like World of Warcraft Mounts and Chocobos don't count as well as teleporting objects like the portal gun.

I personally would choose the Druid Plow aka the Deuce from Brutal Legend because it has that retro Model T look but at the same time it's tricked out with a powerful engine in the front that can go up to 80 miles per hour or more, big monster truck wheels in the back and racing flames on the side. Plus it has a radio that blasts Heavy Metal and Hard Rock music up to 11 in volume so that alone makes it one of the coolest cars in any video game.

The Normandy if we are limited to videogames. If not limited to videogames the TARDIS /thread
No you're not limited to videogames, any fictional ride is alright whether it be from a book, movie, a tv show or even an anime.

Gaming wise I'd go for the Normandy.

Anime Wise? Check my avatar. Mecha all the way. Preferably Strike Freedom from the Seed Series. Yap, i'd take it to uni every day. Screw you public transport!

You know the first thing that popped into my head?
The Ragnarok from Final Fantasy 8.
It's a spaceship that looks kind of like a robotic space-dragon, and for some reason in FF8 I loved to just fly around aimlessly in the damn thing.

No idea why, really.

Panzerstadt Bayreuth. If you haven't read Mortal Engines, this is a huge (presumably German) conurbation. On wheels. Heavily armed (and armored). In other words, it's a city made to move around and destroy things, and eat other cities.

You might want to fix that link because it's broken unfortunately. Although I agree with you, it is an awesome ride and Final Fantasy 8 is a great game as well.

I would say that a ride consists of anything that can you can ride in or on to get from one place to another. So a magical object that you can use to teleport from one place to another doesn't count if you can't ride on it or in it.

Do want. I need to borrow that book from you once. :D

I'd own my own Porsche 911 Turbo S from Need for Speed: Most Wanted. It looked awesome and drove perfectly.
Also, I don't have the imagination to remember any else than that right now.

Achilles Class, Star Trek Dominion Wars.

Pulse phasers, Micro-torpedo Phalanx and its virtually unknown outside of modding circles.
