Hey everyone, it's been a while but my router is finally working and I am back, not that you missed me... now Im sad.

I did an admittadly quick search and didnt see any topic like this one, but I apologize if this is a repeat thread. If it is a repeat I invite the Admins to lock/delete/merge this thread.

I was just curious if anyone here at The Escapist has contracted Swine Flu or knows anyone who has. I have 3 friends who have gotten it in Saint Louis and Columbia Missouri. They were heavily medicated and quarantined to their apartments for a few days, but they all made full recoveries. How about you? I am especially interested in my international Escapists. Is Swine Flu a cause of panic in Europe or Australia?

I know lots of people who had it, and I doubt my life would have gone any different swine flu or not.

I know a few kids who got it here (ah the wonder of dorm life) but our school offers the vaccine so I'm not worried. Besides, apparently it's not much different from a common cold.

meh, been an outbreak at my college, and now me and my friend are mysteriously ill...
Probably just a cold, though. I hope.

I know two people who had it, but they both told me "It's not that bad"
So no one's really worried. As for internationally, I have no idea.

I'm getting over it right now, and my entire school is getting it... Probably from me. My bad, school. Of course, I got it from my little brother, so I'll just blame him.

I know several people who got it, and were cured of it. Theres a rumour going around my school right now that a 2nd wave of it is spreading through us, due to several students going down with "severe flu-like symptoms"

i know some people who have had it, but honestly its really nothing to worry about. More people have died from the normal flu than from swine flu.

I had it, was alright, its just like a flu without feeling like shit for 6 weeks, I'd go as far and say that swine flu isn't as bad as the normal flu.

I then got myself chicken pox, so I felt like shit for that.

I had it. I was off work for just under two weeks - the symptoms are like normal flu, but I felt slightly worse and had alot less appetite. Unless you have something already wrong with you, it's just a flu, nowt to worry about.
