I got an Xbox 360 when it first came out and it's been a good five years. However, I've been feeling a bit of buyers remorse recently. A lot of PS3 exclusives have come out and I want to play them. The more I think about it, the more I realize that there really isn't any Xbox 360 exclusives I like (most are multiplayer, and I don't play multiplayer). At this point in the generation, would it be worth it to trade in my 360 and get a PS3? Or would it be better to just wait for the next generation?

Same advice I gave someone wanting a 360:

Wait until November. Black Friday is coming up and will be a great time to buy as retailers will throw all of these systems on sale. Both systems have enough exclusives to justify owning both so I don't even think you'd have to trash your 360 but that's just me (I have both PS3/360, though I prefer my 360).

Hell, to my knowledge, the PS4 and 720 don't even have release dates yet. If you've got the cash to spend, I see no reason to wait for the next-gen.

I have both consoles. You know what I use it for? Buying multiplatform games so my PS3 will have more memory.

Not to say 360 doesnt have good exclusives. Just not enough of them to warrant having the thing.

PS3s have good stuff. But if at all practical, you might consider not ditching the 360; getting rid of a "five good years" game library could be rather annoying after the fact, even if that library is largely multi-plats, since you'd have to re-buy on the other system if you want to play them again.
