Quick note to start this off
This has nothing to do with me condoning piracy or advertising it.
Allright, lets begin.

Me and a few mates want to play Borderlands together, but you can only play it 2 player split screen, you can, on the other hand, play it four player system link.
I want to play it, I have an actual copy & a proper xbox, the other mate does not.

Is there any way we can play with one disc two proper xboxes?
If not, is there any risk of me getting banned if I do play on my xbox, with a real copy, system linked with a mate that is using a chipped xbox & a burnt copy.

I honestly don't know, and considering that this is the internet, where people will contribute even when they don't have good advice to give, I don't know that I'd take anything anyone says without a grain or two of salt.

What it comes down to is this: You can try an experiment if you want, but be willing to accept the risks if you do. Personally speaking, I wouldn't even try it myself, but that's just my opinion.

Would it not work to install it onto the harddrive, use the disc, take it out and put it in the next?

Or if this is something your planning to do short term like it sounds, you could just, I dont know, rent multiple copies of the game to fulfill that purpose?

Renting an extra copy of the game seems a lot less drastic than dealing with chipped boxes, and other negative consequences.

To rent a game where I live, we have to drive for 3 hours.

Ahh.. apologies. I usually am better about checking someones profile for context and relevance before dishing out suggestions. Cheerfully withdrawn.
