The computer I have right now uses a NVIDIA GT 540 graphics card, and I read somewhere the recommended graphics card for playing Battlefield 3 with was NVIDIA GTX 570.

Will my current graphics card suffice, or do a need a different one?

You dont need a GTX 570, considering thats the top 5 GPU out atm, most people wont have on-par to it. you can probably run it, just not full bore. probably 75-80%
