I know there are a few sites that will access your PC and check your system to check if you can run whatever game you're looking to run.

Are any of these sites reputable? Does anyone use these? My PC is a pretty crummy Walmart thing but I'm sure it could run some of the older PC classics I missed out on years ago.

BTW, feel free to suggest older PC classics that still hold up.

Probably, but you don't need them. It's not hard to find system requirements on wikipedia, compare to what you have, and say "nope."

As for old games...well, how old? I could recommend some great 20 year old games.

I use this site:
http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/
Works for me, some people dislike it for the fact that it installs something on your computer to actually retrieve your specs but I don't really mind.

I can also vouch for this site's usefulness/safety.

Thirded.

SR Labs (aka SRTEST) is genuine. Of course if you are super paranoid you could look up the games system requirements and your hardware's information using something like dxdiag/CPU-Z/GPU-Z.

As far as running old games go's, if you post your Sys Req's and the sort of games you are looking to play and people can probably advise you :D

Works great guys. Thanks. Looks like I need a better graphics card, the rest is generally good enough.
