Just wondering if there's a little white rabbit out there that can help me out here..
My PS3 system has all the latest updates, I have full speed internet connection etc.
Whenever I go onto my Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare online lobby, I select "find game" and it comes up with "downloading game settings" and stays on there until I exit it. I select "private match" and it freezes, until I reset the system. Please help.

you seem addicted with that "can't live" line you will manage without it...

as for the problem I can't help you maybe hardware issues?

I left the game and my ps3 alone to gather dust for a month...didn't work. I left the "downloading game settings" screen overnight. The only result was a big power bill.

I would say Sony of its the ps3 thats screwing up. If it ain't doing what you paid for it to do.

Is it just this game or all of them? That way you know if it's the game's fault or the system's fault.

It's just the game. I can play Resistance 2 etc absolutely fine. There's no scratches on the disc or anything.

It might be a bug that may need to be fixed in the next update.

I'm not sure, I have never seen anything like it, but that's where I'd place my money.

God is punishing you for playing Call of Duty.

Turns out that is God's only job. Waiting until Call of Duty was created and then punishing people for liking it.

Ah, that is odd. Well, do you live in a country where gaming is not common? Maybe there's no one around you to play.

I would say maybe there's not enough people, but I'm sure there's plenty of people who still play it.

Also, the internet connection is working, since the game would not get to the "finding match" screen otherwise.

I'm sorry, I can't pinpoint the problem. You might need to call customer support.

But on the plus side, it's only 2 weeks until Modern Warfare 2 and no one will care about this game anymore, thus eliminating your problem!

True, and I live in Australia, so I don't think it's the "gaming uncommon" problem. Thanks for your time, I'll just wait out for MW2.
