So I am trying to decide on a tablet to get. Looking for some advice.
Purpose: Internet, gaming, and some work usage (mainly Word doc type stuff).
Price range: < $400.
OS: android or windows.

I have a PC that runs win 8, and an android phone. I like both. I am a big fan of Sony, <3 me some playstation.
If anyone has any suggestions for which tablet out there may be a good fit for me lets hear it

The NVidia shield tablet is pretty good value for money. Plonk it in a case with a keyboard, maybe bring a little HID controller and you're good to go for all those things. A Windows based tablet is likely gonna cost you more and also have shittier battery life, but you'll also get a better selection of quality games if that's gonna be one of your main uses for it. That being said, Sony are apparently planning to roll out Playstation Now to tablets and mobile (so probably Android, probably not Windows) sometime in the future so that might tickle your fancy. I haven't really kept up with the tablet market since I don't do a lot of typing on the go and my phone suffices for gaming and browsing so I don't have many specific recommendations.

I have a Surface and I love it. I use it primarily to take notes on. It's super light and convenient. I can hold it with one hand while studying.

That said, I doubt it'd make a good gaming device beyond the basics. The keyboard attachment has a rather flimsy feel to it.
