I hope the console versions use the Generations engine

I thought the idea of Sonic 4 was to go back to basics without the sidekicks.
Hahaha, you fool! Why would anyone even trust what anyone says about that franchise anymore?

At this rate, Episode 4 would have knuckles, and Episode 5 would have Amy, Shadow, and whoever else (at this point, I don't care about names of the 50 magical furry squad)
I like how there's no Episode 3...
I'm half-tempted to believe he works for a certain company [http://www.valvesoftware.com/], since there's no 3 to be found in his entire post.

3 days with no Valve joke about that post. How the hell did that happen?

But after Sega's bubble burst in the late 90s and some serious missteps in the early 2000s (Shadow, anyone?)
Why does everybody forget that shadow first featured in THIS game?:

IE, One of, if not THE best sonic games, and without a doubt the best 3d one.

It was sonic heros that was the start of the decline of the series, not SA2.

Also, on a related note:

Dear SEGA,

Please remake the rest of SA2, like you did with city escape in generations. Or shit, just release a chao garden game.

Sincerely: everybody.
This man speaks truth. Especially that last sentence.

(Good lord I miss the chao garden. One of the best pet simulators ever. I still visit my gardens occasionally.)

SA2, specifically its rerelease, SA2B, is one of the most enjoyable experiences of the gamecube/ps2/xbox generation. yeah I said it.

I like shadow too. He's no where near as gloomy, emo, etc. as countless other characters out there who have much bigger fanbases.

On topic, I am very pleased with this. Liked Sonic 4 well enough, but we're in agreement; it was no Sonic 3 & Knuckles. If episode 2 plays even remotely similar to the classic stages of Sonic Generations, we're golden.
