Cool to see the video game art matched up with the real thing.

Also, it's funny that I stumbled across this article as my wife is playing New Vegas on the TV next to me.

Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter.
I knew someone was going to say that... =L

After hearing the NCR footsoldiers say that for the one-millionth time, I wanted to put some bullets in skulls... ¬_¬

OT: That's some dedication right there. And it's awesome =D

So, guy goes on holiday, guy brings back pictures, comparisons found between pictures from that location and screenshots from a game set in that location.

Escapist news relevance strikes(and misses) again!

Just looked at all the photo comparisons on his blog: very, very cool. The Mojave Desert looks like a great landscape to explore (though I guess scorpions and other brutish creatures would be a hazard) and it's great that he shared his experience of travelling around discovering these real in-game locations.

as long as your careful, you'll be fine. In my 15 years of living here I have not once encountered anything worse then a Black Widow. We do have these little variants of Camel Spiders. Call them Vinagaroons here.

My advice if you want to explore the desert. Do it in the Spring, take water, don't get your self lost, and watch where you step.

Sweet pictures, and I guess it's something else to do in Vegas other than gamble!

You mean there aren't any Radscorpions, Cadazors? or giant fire-breathing Gecko's roaming the Mojave? Sort of takes away the thrill of danger.

Now we just need someone posing as Boone next to the dinosaur and it will be complete.

I've actually visited the dinosaur in Cabazon, CA many many times, as my mother's hometown and business is about an hour away from it. The tyrannosaurus isn't open to the public, but there's a brontosaurus right next to it with a gift shop inside. The brontosaurus is actually the main attraction, with the t-rex kept off to the side. There's also a little velociraptor.

Needless to say, I was pretty excited to see such a huge part of my childhood show up in New Vegas.

I'm so happy for him that he enjoyed this game so much. And I salute this project. And thanks to the internet, we all gain from the spark of his imagination.
