So let's play a game, ignoring the tedium of logic or resources, assume you could take full executive control over a single game company, whether a small development studio, or a large publisher mega-house. Now answer two questions:

1) What company are you taking over?
2) What changes would you make in that company?

1) Take over Capcom

2) Leave everything else as is, give the rights to Mega Man to Nintendo on the condition that they pay me 5% of all Mega Man profits

3) Retire at 23 and spend the rest of my days playing fantastic Mega Man games

EDIT: Before I retire, instantiate company laws that they may only produce ONE version of each Street Fighter game, and that all DLC must be free for one week after it is put up for sale.

I was originally going to do Electronic Arts, but instead let's go with:

1) Square Enix

2) -Stop shoehorning multiplayer into games it has no point to be in
-Localize all games part of flagship franchises into English
-Release localizations worldwide on the same date
-No new Final Fantasy projects until FF:VII Remake and FF:XII HD
-Double up on QA for PC Ports to ensure they don't SUCK
-Listen to fan feedback on a global scale.
-No more weird game titles (I'm looking at you 358/2 Days)
-Fire marketing department.

1) Atlus.

2)Open an European branch.

Done. It should never take them over a year again to publish a Shin Megami Tensei game in Europe.

Konami.

"Sorry for being such asses, Kojima. Please finish Silent Hills for us. If you're still mad about that, have the license to Silent Hill, Metal Gear and Zone of the Enders so we don't just hock it off to the lowest bidding studio"

Take over Konami.

Cancel every game that's not Beatmania

Make 500 more Beatmania's.

I know this looks like their business strategy right now, but 22 Beatmania's is not enough.

Release Dungeon Keeper games that aren't like that mobile disaster.
Uncancel Dungeon Keeper 3.
Also, put all games on Steam, without requiring Origin.

Nintendo!
a) Accept Clyde Mandelin's fan translation/notes on Mother 3 (and Mother though I'm unsure if he did that one too)
b) After a few weeks work, release Mother and Mother 3 on the Virtual Console

e) Purchase the rights to Ganbare Goemon (Mystical Ninja Goemon) from Konami
f) TRY to purchase the rights to Castlevania, Contra and, Gradius from Konami
g) 3D Wario/Waluigi game on Wii U
h) 2D Metroid on the 3DS and/or Metroid All-Stars on the Wii U

Yes mate.

I'd have Konami. I'd apologise to Kojima console him with sexual favours if I have to then I'd get him back on board for silent Hills and possibly future metal gear games, I think there could at least be another Rising revengeance. So basically get Silent hill and Metal Gear back on track.
Then I'd get another 2D Castlevania going. Give it to a Japanese studio and Make sure they don't do anything stupid like set it in Newyork.

That or Capcom. I'd just make the games people have been asking for, for years like megaman and Darkstalkers.
