System Shock takes place on Citidel Station? I never played either game, so I dont know.
8/10 easily, seeing as I played SS2 on a new PC the credits never worked for me so I got that one wrong every time until I eliminated the other options. -_-
I also never got to play the first sadly so I didn't know the year gap.
EDIT: No Badge for 100% completion? This makes me sad.

I actually have both these games, and played quite a bit of the first one. However, I was in a weird spot for a while where I didn't have a capable PC. I bought SS2 waiting for the moment to I had a worthy PC, but when that moment came, it turned out SS2 wouldn't play anymore - incompatibilities!
Last I checked both these games were nearly impossible to play on anything except their original platforms. They fail in many colorful ways if you try anything else. Is this still true? Is there some way to play them on a more recent DOSBOX or something else, because I'd love to get back into them.

Same here - and I think that one's cheating. There are definitely people who appear to be STANDING UP in the post-credits of SS2.Pipotchi said:
I'm an admitted SS fanboy. And as such will be the first to point out that Nanites and "The Many" weren't in "System Shock" at all - they didn't come along until the sequel. BAD researchers!
You don't need "Good old games" to get a copy of System Shock 2, it's available in CD format all over the Internet. Just look for it on ebay or something. "System Shock" is abandonware (SS2 isn't yet) and is available in a DosBox compilation. It's easily my favorite game of all time, although it looks seriously dated now so you young'uns might find it difficult to "get into". Can't say the same about "System Shock 2" though.
"Due to Bioshock's success"? No, they get referenced so much because they make Bioshock look amateurish and dumbed-down. And I say that as someone who still very much liked Bioshock (although I think it loses it once the thus-far main villain is replaced by a complete prat and the controls go haywire and you have to do a forced escort mission).Vortigar said:
