[br] The Pretentionist [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/quizzes/result/83.46-The+Pretentionist] [br] Take this quiz [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/quizzes/view/83]

A lot of the questions didn't really apply to me though, I had to just wing it. And yes, I will only sit through a game if it has a nice story, but that's partially because I've been forced to turn to video games instead of books for a good story.

Thank god for Metroid Prime, I was going through reading withdrawals for a while.

Grouper. ehh... maybe.

I enjoy multiplayer, but I'm more of a solo player.
I think tactician would be more fitting. I always chose the group options, because everything is easier with friends.

I don't know how much stock to put in the result I got, since I skipped roughly half the questions. They didn't have a single answer I could've given without lying.

Dead Eye, well that's way way way way way off. Too many questions I wanted a "None of the Above" option or more with an RPGish answer.
This, except somehow I got "Pretentionist" instead of Dead Eye. Apparently if you skip the questions that "none of the above" would apply to bad things happen to the quiz results.

Where is the "I've never played the Sims." option?

Next you're going to ask me on mmo's right?

Not?

Oh, okay.

I can live with being The Tactician.

What kind of Escapist are you?

The groupers are many, the explorers abound,
But the simulants have their feet on the ground.

The pretentionists brag, the tacticians make plans,
The tinkers cannot seem to stop using their hands.

The Jacks of all games fight a merciless war
With the best of the best for the number one score.

The dead-eye's one goal: the target's in sight!
The lover of ponies just wants happy, alright?

We, the Escapists, play all different ways
But we're linked by our love of incredible games.

Am I the only one who got this?
There are a select few of us around. Not many though, which isn't too much of a surprise.

I got the Explorer - Why bother with the main story when there's so much fun to be had in the sandbox?

The thing is I like sandbox games that also have a great, elaborate and entertaining story.

I got the Simulant. I'm supposing this means games where I can manipulate and customize everything, which is always nice in itself.

I got the Grouper, which makes no sense really, as I prefer Singleplayer games with great stories to tell. Multiplayer is more of a "well, I finished the game, and I love it, but I do not want to restart the story to play it more... hmmm, let's try the multiplayer!"-ordeal for me.

I guess I'm gonna retry the quiz a couple of times, see if I can get a more accurate description before editing it in here.

EDIT: Well, I got a more fitting description the second time, as a Jack of all games. Take this quiz [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/quizzes/result/83.50-The+Jack+of+All+Games]

Works for me, seeing how wide variety of games I enjoy, BUT I DO HAVE TO FINISH THEM! D: Unfinished games are like open bleeding wounds...

EDIT 2: Gave up on the quiz after 5 tries, as none of them really fit me that much, closest one would be Jack of all games, as long as I got to finish it! I can't stand being beaten by a game. (IWBTG still haunts my dreams, but darnit, I got through it).

Give an option for us gamers who like the games for their story and fun, while we also are completionists? Pretty please?

The problem with the quiz was that none of the solutions fitted me at all. There was nothing for story-whore or over-cautious or anything like that.
