Well, precision isn't a HUGE part of it (no sniper rifles and whatnot) but still, you're going to want to place your shots well if you're going up against three or more guys with automatic weapons on any difficulty higher than easy. The game is unforgiving to those who think a taking cover is for the weak.Jumplion said:So console or PC? From what I've played, it feels more console-y in that precision aiming isn't neccessary, and I've never found driving great on PCs.Lord_Panzer said:It's a linear game set in a sandbox purely for atmospheric purposes. You always have something to do, but that doesn't mean you have to do it right away. If you want to go get a hot dog, or rob a clothing shop, or ramp off a sweet jump you can, but you always have something to do.Jumplion said:I am debating whether to get Mafia 2 or not, contributing to the sales, for console or PC (I'm partial to console, it feels more like a "console-y" game to me), since the overall scores do seem to be varying from "meh" to "pretty good". Any recommendations?
I loved the hell out of it. Best story I've found in a game since Bioshock. (I got it for PC, by the way)
I bought it on PC because I'm primarily a PC gamer, so I point at things I want to make dead and they go boom. The driving is more dependant on the car than it is the control interface; when you hold the turn button you'll turn rather sharply, but how sharp varies based on what car you're in. There aren't any sections where smooth driving is essential, and I haven't found PC controls obnoxiously unwieldy at high or low speed.
If you've got a half decent rig, I'd defiantly suggest PC.
