Most badass part: When he's torturing the guy by electrocuting the needles in his legs, then when he gets his information he just turns the power back on and leaves him there to die.

A thoroughly enjoyable film. It was a little slow to get going. I think they could have edited a few minutes of set-up out, but great pacing once it got going. It had me on the edge of my seat almost the whole time. It also grounded itself pretty firmly, I never found myself thinking that Liam Neeson's character wasn't capable of doing the things he was doing. And the voice, what I wouldn't give to have his voice. The voice is what really sold the whole thing for me honestly.

I don't think there is a person in the world who can look at Liam Neeson and not be a little intimidated.

i was on the fence on whether or not i should see it, then i noticed it was a Luc Besson movie and so i watched it and wasn't disappointed in the least

Luc always makes a good and exciting movie, i know there is an unrated cut in the states that is supposed to be better

Guess I'm in the minority again (big surprise). That movie blew goats. Talk about the weakest excuse to kick some ass. The plot was terrible, and I'm pretty sure any 12 year old could have come up with it. And after he goes psycho on that one drug house, I almost started feeling sorry for the "bad" guys. I really couldn't care less about his daughter, so the whole driving force of the move (to get her back) was lost on me. And the cliche relationship with the ex-wife and new husband made me want to strangle myself just to end the agony of poor writing and poor acting.

I honestly don't see how that many people liked the movie. I'm seriously even more concerned for the future of humanity after reading this thread.

I thought it was better than Bourne and Quantum of Solace, not quite as good as Casino Royale, but still frickin' awesome. The JCB decap was >.< =P
