How do I take off the face plate on my Xbox? I'm getting a new one tomorrow in a collectors edition of a game and want to replace the one I have now

There should be a notch on the bottom side. (Bottom meaning if it was vertical, or the right side otherwise.) IIRC, you just hook your fingernail on that and pull and it pops right off.
ed- just tried it, and, yeah, that's all it takes. Don't do like I just did and send it flying across the living room though
