OK, I have been checking this concept out on another forum and thought I'd give it a shot here. Bear in mind that it's pretty experimental and could just as easily end up as a bit of a cluster fuck that no-one understands. The aim of the game is to have a conversation (or form a story - we'll see how it goes) only using song lyrics. Now when I say this I mean one or two lines per post.
For example:
Poster #1
Lyric:
"Hello! Is there anybody in there? Just nod if you can hear me... is there anyone at home?"
--Pink Floyd, Comfortably Numb.
Poster #2
Lyric:
"Hello Hello. I'm at a place called Vertigo."
--U2, Vertigo
I hope they are decent enough examples.
So, let's give it a whirl and see how it ends up.
Note that you cannot use the same lyrics twice and you must give the name of the song and the band/artist that performs it (we don't want people making up lyrics now, do we
).
With that said here is your ice-breaker:
"I bet that you look good on the dance floor..."
--Arctic Monkeys, I Bet You Look Good On The Dance Floor
I know... I know... not very imaginative, but enough to get you started (hopefully).
