Does anyone else here in the Escapist Nation talk in song? Today a buddy of mine told me "if I was young I would join the military." To which I said "If I was young, I'd flee this town. I'd bury my dreams underground. As did I, we drink to die, we drink tonight. Far from home, elephant...." you get the idea.

edit: I'm not talking about musical songs either.

I oftentimes wish that reality were a bit more lyrical. At least the drivvel spouting from the food-holes of the uneducated masses would rhyme.

I try to, when i can i use lyrics that fit froom existing songs, but more often than not it makes no sense and i look like a pillock

No, but I know someone who does, and they really get on my nerves.

I think it's just because they're using abstract words as a substitute for actual conversation. And you can't really reply to song lyrics.
