Talking to yourself while gaming.

All the damn time. Not even always to figure things out or rage at it, sometimes I just do.

For example, first Mass Effect playthrough, hit Virmire, up pops 'the choice' and after the initial 'Noooooo' I proceeded to debate out loud about which one I'd go for.

And that's just the least embarassing example.

I have a running commentary going whenever I game; whether I'm commenting on gameplay or whatever else is going on. I also tend to swear and yell a lot when I get particularly frustrated.

I do a similar things with movies.

Then again, I tend to mutter to myself in real life...

I just trash-talk (in the 'right' way), swear and say one-liners. I also laugh, sigh and if I have time:Facepalm.

Occasional trash-talk, occasional mumbling but usually that's it.

Except when I'm playing a horror game, or a particulary well-made (and unexpected) horror level. Then I have a full blown monologue where I keep going on about random things, or I try to belittle the game for, well, just being a game and that 'you can't scare me!' Things like that.

Yeah, it helps keep the fear away. Got me through that awful hotel level in Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines. I didn't need it in Dead Space, not even once (despite not having finished it, have to start over again) but I have the feeling that I will need it a LOT in Amnesia: Dark Descent. Why did I buy that game...

I do talk to myself a bit when playing. I remember playing Half Life 2 and shouting at other NPCs "Why the fuck don't you do it?!?!"

2. Die, bruthafucka! (assassinating the Pope in AC 2)
3. Fucking water, man. Fucking water. So shiny, man. (Playing Red Dead and getting a view of the Mexican border, having been awake for over 24 hours on an all-night study session that was unfortunately derailed)

In RPGs I talk to myself, planning out what I'm going to do next, but mostly I just say 'shitshitshitshitshitshit fuck.me.' under my breath.

Heh, I've actually cursed out the developers of a game during a frustrating section of an otherwise fun game. Mass Effect Mako areas come to mind. Always quietly though, cause if anyone heard they'd think I'm off my rocker...

I'm used to playing games while in xbox live parties so when I'm going solo I usually just say whatever comes into my head. But it's pretty much always in context, "fucking campers" and the like.

Haha yeah it is a bit like that. Basically ends up being some of the following:

"Oh great, why did you press A? Stupid woman"
"Fantastic, now you're dead. Stupid. Just stupid"
"I have absolutely no idea what I'm meant to do... just look it up... look it up... go on"
"OH What did you DO?!"

And sometimes when I'm winning or do something lucky:

"Aw WOW. I can't believe it"

I do it all the time, espically on a FPS, usually when sniping, My most often phrase whilst snipign is waiting for someone to appear into my line of sight whilst sayin "come on you ****, pop up". I say this too when someone takes cover after me firing at them.

"On ya head son!"

Is another popular one of me, but is only said when i throw an epic grenade into a crowd or over an object/suprise the enemy. 9Very few times have i hit them on the head succsessfully.

Otherwise, if I'm playing a multiplayer game and I die because of a stupid reason I'll yell pretty loud.

I do it alot when problem solving, and I will often swear and shout memes and my oppenents. A favourite of mine is "Come at me bro!"
