Getting on my Pokemon nerd here, Meowth and James try to eat a Magikarp in Ep 16, but can't get through it's tough scales...it then gets pissed and evolves into Gyarados...I wouldn't want to take my chances.

Snorlax. He's so relaxed all of the time, the meat'd be incredibly soft and juicy. Also, just one of those things could feed a small third world nation for at least 2 days.

Only problem is, if you raised them for the meat, you'd have to feed them enough to feed a small third world nation for a month. On the whole, you're putting a lot of effort and resources into something with exceptionally minimal return...

Anyway, I'd say Farfetch'd. After all, the Pokemon comes with its own leek already. It is literally ASKING to be eaten, it may as well sit on the plate with the pancakes and hoisin sauce and have a sign saying "EAT ME" attached to its beak...
