My avatar is the one current tattoo I have thus far. Left bicep. I need to get it retouched because it's older than most of you guys, and because they cut through it when they put the plate in my broken arm.
I want to get a few more tattoos, circuit boards on my forearms/lower upper arms, something on my right deltoid that extends down my chest and my shoulder... But I'm the kind of guy who thinks about tattoos for years before he gets them. They are permanent, after all.

I would like to get a tattoo of a mandolin on my shoulder and "so it goes" on my wrist, but money is very tight at the moment.

I don't really like the idea of tattooing myself, and I don't plan on ever getting one.
The thing is, I just can't think of a single image that would ever be so important to me or so beautiful that I could wear it on my skin for my entire life without my feelings about it ever changing or being replaced by something more important. Any image I can think of that I could get tattooed would probably be something I wouldn't care about a few months later, or it isn't something I'd want on my skin at all.
But I don't dislike tattoos on other people at all. I think they can look quite attractive.
The thing is, I just can't think of a single image that would ever be so important to me or so beautiful that I could wear it on my skin for my entire life without my feelings about it ever changing or being replaced by something more important. Any image I can think of that I could get tattooed would probably be something I wouldn't care about a few months later, or it isn't something I'd want on my skin at all.

the only person i've ever known to go in there was my mate Josh to see if they sold fags :LI don't have any at the moment, I have a violent contact dermititus which means I have to be very careful with things like that.
My wife has several.. a Clan Gangrel symbol that is both how we met and symbolic of her son, a chain and ankh on her arm, her wedding ring (I get her finger is we break up) and just recently my nickname on the back of her neck. She never gets spur of the moment things and thought long and hard about what she was getting.
Knowing lots of people with tats I'm a little disappointed that they are becoming so mainstream.. mainly because most people who get them these days get them because they are "cool" not because of special meaning.
