o.o?

I'm confused.

how dose her fucking some one on film have anything to do with teaching ability? more importantly, why should it even matter, she's clearly not still doing it if she's teaching -.- and i doubt she's bragging about it.

in short

nothing to see here, move on and let the woman teach

The term "adult film" seems quite vague and although the article references the rumour of her being a "Porn Star", is this actually the case?

Was the teacher professionally working as an actress in a contrived pornographic film and received a wage for appearing in that film, or could it be the case of a amateur home video, recorded by two consenting adults in a relationship, that has been leaked onto the internet?
"Adult film" may sound vague if viewing the words literally, but it is a common euphemism for porn. Also this story comes from southern California, which produces most of the commercial porn in the US.

So uh...What's going on with the students who admitted to watching porn? As, you know, it's kind of illegal for them to watch it? They being expelled? Punished? Nothing? Oh will you look at that. A school protecting students from their own mistakes. What is this? The late 1900s? Thought we got past all this school corruption?

If the teacher turns out to be innocent, she could probably sue. She lost her job, possibilities for future jobs, and social status because of these vindictive little shits we call "teenagers". There's a little something called "defamation of character." Something you can totally take legal action and win over. There is absolutely no way they didn't know she'd possibly lose her job over this. (Now I don't know much about this kind of stuff, so if for some reason she CAN'T take legal action over them, maybe for them being minors or some shit, surely she could do something towards the school, and people who decided to drag her name through the mud before anything was proven.)

And no, SOLVEmedia captcha, I will not "dust up."

Wah..a teacher might've been in a porno. Obviously this means her brains got fucked out and now she's incapable of teaching any more. Of course, whether or not she was actually in a porno will only determine whether or not she's able to sue the school for wrongful dismissal, not whether or not she gets fired.

Really?

1) It's not like she can teach effectively when the entire class has their attention fixed on her past history.
2) Why would the school risk their reputation for her? It's not like it's hard to get a teacher who isn't an ex-porn star.
3) Parents are obviously gonna lose their shit lol.

It's not like appearing in an adult film is illegal. It is just a job. It's like firing a teacher because they were a garbage collector once and it's not like it's her fault because students are distracted or that parents are angry. It is their fault be having these ideas that working in porn is evil and bad and IDK they're crazy.

Hey, did anyone watch...um...Boston Public. The 2IC ended up with an ex pornstar teacher after he broke up with that woman whose son cut her hand off. This had this question come up.

...

Well, teachers are supposed to be adults and all, but they aren't allowed to be. Apart from driving a car and owning their own home and stuff, they can't do things their kids can't. They can't get drunk, visit "exciting" clubs, or have much of a sex life...cause.

Now, where I live, getting rid of someone because of somehting like this would violate EEO unless you could make a damn good argument for it.

I, personally, believe that her past should not interfere with her wanting to mold young minds with her knowledge.

Keep teaching.

I might have mixed feelings if she was still performing, but if it was in the past there is nothing wrong.

Here I thought you were gonna talk about the character archetype (complete bullshit btw, after working as a teacher I lost all desire for the naughty student idea, at the end of the day you want out of the school in the worst way, shouldn't have to see the students until the next day, preferably it'll be friday and you'll have 2 days away)

Anyway, that's their personal business. That's not a reasonable reason to release a teacher.

The report mentions some crap about moral turpitude being cause for disciplinary action including dismissal in state law so they may well be able to get rid of her legally for this.
They can, they literally can. They can also fire teachers for getting a divorce, and in the case of one poor woman from Georgia, having once taken a picture of herself holding a beer while visiting a brewery on vacation. Teacher's codes of ethics are stuck somewhere in the 19th century.

How about this then...she moves from middleschool (I think it was) to teaching like 1st or 2nd grade...guess what those students won't be looking it up, or care, because they are too young for it to matter to them.

The worse part of this is how she is "lessened" due to being in an adult film. It was a job. We have to move past the point of demonizing the concept of the porn industry. Might as well not let former military or police teach, as they might or might not have killed someone. Anyone with any past, no matter the reason, linked to a "negative" influence, despite their actual credentials in their chosen field of work as well as current performance.

Sarcasm aside, a silly notion holding that against her.

Oh good god NOOOOOO....

We can't have someone who has had sex teaching, what kind of madness is this.

All teachers who have been ploughed or have been doing said ploughing should be fired instantly....

That would leave us with ..... zero teachers.

I think that what she does in her own time, in front of a camera, is her own business.

She made it easy for all of her students who want to spank the monkey to her. Good on her. Shame the internet wasn't around when I was a kid .... ahhh Miss Nish, if only.
