Well ya see, whenever a game fails or a studio closes these days inevitably you get some long winded letter or email or tweet or whatever blaming piracy, blaming used sales, blaming aliens, blaming Obama, pretty much laying the blame everywhere but the at the feet of the people that were responsible for making and selling it.42 said:It had nothing to do with used games you prat. and sure the head was acted like a prat as well (dude seriously that has to be the most far-fetched arguments i've ever seen in a forum) the studio workers didn't deserve it and L.A Noire was a fantastic game. or then again you could be trolling. because then again you could be confusing this studio with publisher EA. but i am interested in where you got the used games angle from.Xanthious said:Good! Couldn't of happened to a more deserving studio. I can't wait to read their letter blaming it all on used games.
Now as for the studio and it's workers. Having the studio closed out from underneath them was probably the best thing to happen to the poor bastards still working in that sweat shop they called a development studio. Furthermore, if what's written about the people in charge of the studio is true then those ass hats deserved far worse than just losing their job.
The bottom line is this studio was ran poorly, treated it's employees like slaves or worse, and almost made a total mess of the game except that Rockstar sent their own staff to bail them out. Rockstar wanted NOTHING to do with them after the L.A Noire ordeal and I can't imagine anyone else did either. So regardless if LA Noire was a good game or not (which it's rather mediocre if you ask me) this studio did indeed deserve to be shut down.
