The new Powerjack Of Running Urgently buff/nerf/sidegrade for the Pyro is interesting. the 20% more damage REALLY makes it a dangerous tactic on a squishy class like Pyro though. Much more so than the Heavy and his GRU.

On the other hand it's only active when held so there are some possible advanced tactics with the Backburner for ambushes and a powerjack finish for health.

Oh and. Pyro confirmed for Valve's least favorite class. No buffs for Pyro.

Powerjack becomes one of two "Wandering/ambush" Pyro setup melees (other being Backscratcher). You either have to quest for health but they heal more and do increased damage, or take more damage, have a way to regain the health on hand, and get a speed boost.

Oh, we're punishing people for catching typos now, are we? Stay classy, Escapist.

Ugh, random items are one of the most abusive microtransaction models I've seen. Yes, I know it's not the whole update, but I get a twitch in my lower eyelid whenever I see it. Paying money to have a CHANCE to get what you want is just wrong... And it's not just Valve that does it; it's pretty much the norm in Guild Wars 2 as well. At least there you sometimes get chest keys as random drops...
It is also quite possibly illegal, given that gambling is not legal everywhere that the game is playable. Cereals with mail-in sweepstakes have to include disclaimers that there's "no purchase necessary" because that's considered gambling in some states, even though you're still getting the cereal. So why is Valve allowed to get away with this? Besides that it's against their TOS to sue them now.
