I was playing Team Fortress 2 yesterday on a Saigns (A German group that runs a bunch of servers, and gives "premium accounts" to paying customers. Here's a link to their site: [link]https://www.saigns.de/premium/[/link]) server as Spy, and I noticed something rather curious. I managed to get a score of 26 in a single life, something I was rather proud of. But when I logged on this morning, my score had reverted to the previous record of 13. Has this happened to any of you in the past? And do you happen to know why it occurred?

Nope. Never had that happen to me. Try checking the Steam TF2 forums. They would probably know what happened.

Well, a long time ago during the pyro update, I went to an achivement server to get Pyromancer quicker. I got at least 500 kills, and it reverted back to my high score of 57. However the progress on pyromancer still stayed.

It's happened to me before, I had a massive "most points" score on my soldier compared to my other classes, and my bar chart thing looked stupid, then it reverted back to a smaller score and it was evenly spread again.

I didn't mind it reverting as it would have annoyed me being that different compared to the other classes.

On a side note: Holy shit, if you buy the premium package for those servers, look at what you get!
Yeah, it's pretty much a server-enabled "god mode". It skews the balance of the game pretty hideously.

But it must be pretty cool to have it.
Those benefits are insane... I might consider actually doing that if I could turn it off if and on at will. Hopelessly overpowering my enemies is fun and all, but I want a fair match every once and a while.

Well here's your first problem, you were playing on the shittiest servers TF2 has available...

...As for your REAL question, it's a common glitch with the "stats tracking". Sometimes Steam "forgets" stats. Nothing you can do really.

The Saigns servers are terrible I try to avoid them. If I wanted a crappy game full of hacks I would've bought CSS when I had the chance.

Saigns? Do you have no skill or something?
It doesn't record some scores if you don't quit properly or something. Don't totally understand it. I got like 40 in a life on spy but my record is stuck at 28 (or so). Happens to me quite a lot actually.

Yeah, but at least one of them will answer your question. Probably.

Yeah, I found out how crappy they were a few minutes in, I usually frequent clan servers, but I felt like trying something new.

Oh, that's a pain. Well, if there's nothing I can do, there's no point in complaining. Thanks for the info.

Hey, whoa, what's with the jibe about skill?

Okay, thanks for the advice. May as well just learn to live with the occasional loss of a good high score.

Yeah, trying new servers is not a bad thing. Found some great servers that way.

Saigns servers are a bad thing... In fact they basically embody everything bad in TF2: Massive donator privileges, instant respawn, bots, 32 (or is it 36?) men, play the same maps to death, altered gravity...etc.

Yeah, I certainly can't argue with you there. Granted, I like 32-man servers and repetition of maps sometimes, but otherwise you're right. Instant respawn is a blight of TF2's otherwise brilliant gameplay.

And Saigns uses bots? That explains how I was able to destroy 62 buildings without having a single sapper knocked off...

Same thing just happened today. I managed a score of 18 last night, and it went back to 13 this morning. Does stat tracking not count scores that may have been achieved with bots instead of humans?

Four words

Who The Fuck Cares?

And now, 90 words.

Seriously, who gives a crap? So what, you got a good score, hooray for you, but no one cares in the least. I mean, for some reason, my most damage in one life is 1986503 for the demoman. I never play the demoman except for about 4 times when I was bored. My most kills is 1273 in one life for the heavy, which I also only play should we need an offensive advantage. They glitch up all the time, and no one is going to read your records anyway.
