I am a huge fan of technology in general ever since I was a kid.
When I was 17, I setup a small business in tech sales and repair but have quit ever since I began discovering the situations and conditions surrounding technology manufacturing. I am now 21.
In short, I am resolutely against Chinese Sweatshops or poor labour conditions to the point where I have lost the will to puchase any electronic items (or anything Made In China, which is amost everything found in shops) for fear that it perpetuates the problem. I feel a sense of guilt and ultimately derive some responsibility for the issue.
Of course, one person's refusal cannot make a difference. How do other people feel about this social cost of cheap manufacturing? In what ways does this issue affect the lives of others?
Multimedia just isn't 'fun'anymore and for the reasons I state above.
