Ok, a little confused here. I bought the game today ($68 from Big W, AWESOME!) with the expectation of a format I have been conditioned to since early high school, and was more than a little shocked when I navigated my way around.

So, I don't play through each character's little story like usual? It looks like stories are unlocked by the mission thingy. I did some of that, but was constantly killed by these monster robots during the docks level.

It'd be great if someone could explain where my Tekken game went.

If you're a Tekken fan, what do you make of the latest installment?

It's... well, it's more Tekken, so I guess I got what I wanted. But I'd like a little more creativity.

..Don't ask me what I would've done, that's up to the developers!

Also, aren't games supposed to cost 60$?

Not in Australia. And I made a boo-boo, I bought it from Big W. K-mart were selling it for $110.

I've been working through campaign mode, delighted to discover this is how you unlock characters for story mode.

I'm stuck on Alisa. I've tried it dozens of times with Hwoarang and Kazuya. If you beat her, which character did you use? I don't need battle strategy, I'm aware you're best to take out the big guys first and save your chickens. But knowing which character and some awesome cheap moves would be appreciated.

The arcades, most likely.

As for my opinion of the game...Bob, Miguel, and Lars are fun as all get-out, Leo's pretty cool, and Armor King got buffed. I'll play it if it's available.

The scenario mode can go die down a rotten fucking hole, it took me three days to get past the absolute cheapness that was Alisa why should I need to grind items in Tekken? This is not godamned WoW I did not want a bloody beat em up, if I wanted a beat em up I would have played one a GOOD one. MY opinion on everything else, fine Arcade is as good as ever, online versus is great after the patch (mostly) endings kind of very from good to meh nowhere near tekken 5's sadly. Character customisation is nice if not abit limited plenty of stuff just ungodly numbers of recolours to pad it out.

And the bloody RNG can go die aswell, look its one thing ot want to flesh out your game's main campeign by giving items stats but its another when I loose to a group/boss thanks to a bloody random freeze or paralyse at a bad moment argh.

No, she clearly exclaimed "awesome" because it was only $68. Just had to clarify that K-mart was selling it for and insanely expensive price. The complaints seem more directed towards the scenario mode.

Woo-hoo! I finally beat the ***** (about an hour ago, some mates popped by)! I decided to take a look at all those items I've amassed for Hwoarang and more than doubled his health bar. I also added a little more defense and a fire attack. After those additions I beat her down first go with plenty of health to spare.

Thanks for backing me up. Yes, I only paid $68 and am still excited to have gotten such a fantastic deal :D

I've grown to like scenario mode now that I better understand how it works, why it's important and how to exploit the weapons on hand (but especially when to save them). The majority of the time I take Hwoarang, I've always been fond of his strong kicks. My favourite was the Raven level; I took Ling, excellent when facing groups, and once a few fist fights were over, from there it was all about the flame shooters.

I personally thought it was great. The concept of the Rage System pissed me off to no end, but it's not as bad as I thought, Naurto CoN 3 on the Wii has the same kind of system. Also the new characters are good, if a tad unbalanced (Bloodline Rebellion won't come for a while on consoles, which is annoying, and Bosconovich is annoying).

And not being able to get a character's ending through Arcade confused me at first, but then i found Arena mode. It's probably the best Tekken yet (and that's a controversial statement, but I'm sticking to it).

I thought the new story mode thing was pretty dumb. But I didn't buy Tekken for a story I bought it for beating my friends.
