What kind of irrational paranoid loser would pay money for this?

Looks up at piece of duck tape covering laptop webcam

What? It's totally different.

I'd say that you are being paranoid but the NSA are spying on everyone. sigh

I won't cover my webcam though!

Or you could just not buy one, that saves you a lot of money.
Hold on. You're saying I can save £300, avoid being advertised to and having my privacy invaded? I dunno man, that sounds a bit dodgy.

I still have trouble processing the cost of XBone hardware, the ongoing cost of Gold subscription and then they have the audacity to bombard you with ads. If they were giving it away free, sure, but to pay money for the privilege of watching adverts?

In all honesty, this sort of thing lowers my respect for the Xbone even more.
How so? It's a third party mount. Microsoft has nothing to do with it.

Mostly because if someone is willing to actually produce these things, then it should have been incredibly obvious to Microsoft this was a bad business plan and I have even less faith in the intelligence of Microsoft's product development team.
